    For those interested,

Simply go to http://Localizer.Norganna.Org , create an account, which takes a few seconds, and then continue in to the AuctioneerDB section matching your localization and provide translations of the existing strings.

If your locale is complete or you complete it, stop back every few days/weeks, since more items may be added.

    Appreciate the help!

    Happy Sales,

    Nikk :shades:

How I can check my localization of AucDB site? Just to be sure that I didn't miss any context while translating bare strings?

Also is there any chance to add some examples to Localizer interface to see how translation would look? I mean - replace markers like %S with actual values such as prices, item names etc? On russian there is several forms for verbs nouns adjectives and even pronouns! So it's very important to know context for correct tanslation.

    Russian version up. It's good.
No Russian data still no server. It's worse.
In IE 6.0 site is lookin ugly - blocks jumping on all the page. It's even worse. Opera BTW is Ok. How can I attach a screenshot.
Search not working in Russian version. It's really bad. Not working at all - even if I try to search english itemnames in english servers. English version of site works OK.

Russian data won't start to appear until we start getting the data submitted for russian servers via the client that you're helping me test, so that's ok.

I've made some improvements to the IE 6 rendering, but there's only so much one can do with such an old browser. I wasn't even going to support it at all but it turned out to be reasonably easy to do so I changed my mind.

You're a nice person than I, Norgs. I'd have decided not to support IE6 anyway. It really, really needs to go away.

Nice. I'm generally using Opera but IE6 coming as standard options in Windows XP. Upgrading to IE requires some special actions from user. So it's possible that some part of users will have IE6 installed.

on IE6 - microsoft did push out IE8 as a high importance update to get rid of IE6. One can hope that in a couple years we may finally be able to put IE6 to rest.

    Found a bug in site.

In Taiwanese version of site, when I made all localization strings translated, I try checking all pages, then I found the bug in realm stats page.

    http://cluster1.imagefly.info/v/6d/png/aucdbsite_bug.html

The Chinese words displayed as "square character", is it can be fix or not?
    Thanks.

Hmm, looks like flash has some problems with writing the text sideways... I'll have to look into this and see if I can work out what's going on.

Ok, it's taken me 2 days to fix this issue (mainly cause I'm not all that familiar with the glyphs used in/for writing Asian languages and I've had to do a crash course), but I think I've managed to solve the issue. If you could test and let me know, that would be lovely.

Just small question. Do you want a slovak translation or is czech enough? I can translate to slovak if needed.

Generally we only support the languages that are on the localizer website, unless there's enough of an outcry for an additional language. It's very rare that we have complete translations for the few languages that we do support, so we would also want to know that if we added an additional language that it would be kept updated as well.

Thanx Norgana for answer. I still would like to create slovak translation if you are interested. I want to work on in.
I checked the czech translation of Auctioneer interface. There are only some chinese words inside. I corrected some, but I'm not native speaker and so can't translate all properly.
Try me and you will see.
