I'm trying to install the AuctioneerComplete 0696 unstable release, but this has happened to me before also: When I try to run the EXE installer, it says "AddOns should not be modified while World of Warcraft is running, please close WoW before proceeding."

Ignoring works fine as a workaround, but is there some kind of semaphore file or registry entry that the installer is looking for that I can delete to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Thanks.

The installer looks for ANY window named "World of Warcraft" it does NOT look at the window type or owner. So if you have an explorer window opened at the World of Warcraft folder, the installer will complain that WoW is open. Until I have time to read-up on NSIS and find an alternative the only work-around is to hit "Ignore" or to close any windows whos name is "World of Warcraft".

PS: Any help is greatly appreciated .
