    If the output is:

    4x[Elemental Earth], Last 6 seen, HSP: 6.66, BO: 50, Prof: 6.16, Less 93%

You buy 4 and sell all 4? or just 1? For what price?

Depends on a lot of factors and a lot of experimenting.

Are you in need of quick cash? Sell the stack for buyout at 4g.

Are you crafting with that item? Buy everything sold at this price and use it.

Are you trying to make as much money as possible? Store it away till the thursday - saturday peek times, then create 4 auctions with 1 item, each selling for 1.5-2G. Maybe try to buy all lower compeitors, or bid them up to your price.

    Oh, some things I learned...
Also, don't flood the market with tons of same item, unless its an item that sells quickly. (don't put up 30 Pristine Black Diamonds in one day, but you could probably put up 200 -600 Pieces of Linen...even more if you have pretty competitive prices)

Now, if you want to learn more, read some of the guides that are floating around in these forums.

I would have to buy it first - how did you arrive at the 4g number?

I thought that was the point of this addon

Ah yes, more people are likely to be on at weekends.

I was mostly tring to figure out the sell price, not sure the guides mention that do they.

I was just makeing an example. I don't know what that item sells for, but lets say a stack of 4 could possibly sell for 7G on a busy night. If I needed money in about 6 hours (pretty short amount of time) I would sell the item undermarket value so that someone else would buy it quicker.

its also so you know the market average for items, that way you don't get as ripped off when buying from the AH (say, if you are a crafter and you need some supplies).

If it were easy to figure out the sell price, then there wouldn't be a need for Auctioneer.... ;-) All I can say is, take it slow when starting out and test sample different items. I like the trade goods catergory, because the product comes and goes quickly. I can also invest very little money, and make little bits of profit.

There is lots of money to be made in the other catergories too (armor, weapons, misc..) but, prices are usally high and risk of loseing lots is usally very high.

basically, this line, "4x[Elemental Earth], Last 6 seen, HSP: 6.66, BO: 50, Prof: 6.16, Less 93%" is saying the averages of the last 6 times that elemental earth was seen they were selling 1.67g each, but this stack of 4 is selling for 12.5s each so if you buy all 4 for 50s and sell them for the average 1.67g each you will make 6.16g. however, like xeno was saying, you could sell them for a bit less like 1g each and make 3.5g. but you have to take in all those market factors like supply, demand, time of week, and even time of day.

How do you know they were selling for 12.5s? Or was that also a guess.

    Little basic math :- 50s BO / 4 = 12.5s

Really "Hello" a little observation and thought before posting would be nice...

    Thanks a lot.

I wish i knew why the interface shows a different result even when the percent is the same, but now I'm afraid to ask because some idiot will piss all over you.
