Support::Enchantrix: Enchantrix information has vanished

    I'm a bit reluctant to add this as a bug, because I'm not sure it's even one of your addons making the trouble or how exactly to reproduce it (other than that it's a problem I have now)

    I've currently got Enchantrix 2.0.1, Auctioneer 3.0.10 and EnhTooltip 1.0.4. Until my last recent addon-grabbing spree Auctioneer and Enchantrix worked just fine, I could see both Auctioneer and Enchantrix information in the extra Auctioneer tooltip. Now that I've put in a few extra addons I can't see the Enchantrix information despite the fact that I can see the normal Auctioneer information just fine. Show-embedded doesn't work either, and toggling the other tooltip options of Enchantrix off or on doesn't seem to make anything show up. Enchantrix bidbroker and percentless still seem to work fine, though, even though it's a bit hard to use them seeing as I can't double check the item disenchant values.

    A little backstory: one of the addons I had put in (happens to be Fizzwidget AdSpace 1600.5 that I had updated) was causing an error in the game loading in MoneyFrame. After the game would load fully it was evident that whatever this error was kept the Auctioneer tooltip from showing entirely. So I enabled and disabled stuff until I narrowed it down to that Adspace addon and disabled it. I didn't notice until I went to bid on some more disenchant fodder that I didn't have the enchant info in the Auctioneer tip even though the auction info came back. I have tried disabling the entire latest round of addons that I had put in as well as updating Auctioneer, Enchantrix (and for giggles, even Gatherer) and nothing seems to work.

    I'm particularly bothered that even show-embedded won't work and nothing will show Enchantrix info even though /enchant bidbroker seems just fine. I'm not sure how to attack this one from this point, I've even gone to the trouble to completely delete the folder of that addon that was breaking on me and got nothing for my trouble. I don't have a custom FrameXML in the interface folder so I don't know why the MoneyFrame broke or why the broken things didn't become fixed when I disabled all those addons I had just put in. Any ideas on something to whack at this from here? There doesn't seem to be anything concrete for me to go on and I'm out of troubleshooting ideas.

    Well, stupid me, I didn't think to try rebooting nor did I realize today was going to be patch day. I'm gonna try both of those, it's possible either one might help or just break things outright.

    Hey, what do you know, in the process of removing all the addons to get the latest patch working, Enchantrix started working again.

    So I don't know yet what addon was being mean but I'm sure I'll have it figured out before the end of the night, and I feel stupid already. Sorry about all that. Great addons though, I owe my vast noobler fortune to them!

    OK, for some odd reason I discovered that AllInOneInventory was the one misbehaving and making Enchantrix data not show. I think I might be able to work it with an OLDER version though, because one of the things I had tried when I had the moneyframe error was updating AIOI. It does make me a bit curious though, when I use this newer AIOI that breaks Enchantrix, it breaks it for every item display, including the character display and the trade skill display. Kinda weird, I wonder what kind of mysterious stuff got added in there.

    What versions of AIOI and Enchantrix are you using?

    I'm getting the same thing.
    I JUST downloaded and installed the newest enchantrix from enchantrix.org download link.

    I'm using the default version of AIOI from the COSMOS (Alpha) version.

    I just used the gui to dosable the AIOI and AIOIKhaos addins and then did a /reloadui at the prompt. This allowed me to see DE info. I then re-enabled them via the GUI and did a /reloadui at the prompt and it seems to be all good now. (I also quit out of WoW entirely and reloaded to ensure the setting will stick.) Apparently something just needed to be reinitiallized again.

    From this day forth this shall be called: The Microsoft Hokey-Pokey.

    Excellent, I'll give that a try. I miss AIOI a lot.

    Well, no such luck. I did put in Khaos and I could add in AIOI or remove it, using the latest Cosmos Alpha, but it still misbehaved. I get an error in MoneyFrame and all the auctioneer/enchantrix stuff doesn't display. That's the error I was getting at first and I had thought it was Adspace doing it way back when. The other error with only Enchantrix disappearing isn't there this time.

    Still, glad you pointed out Khaos had the ability to load/unload addons, I didn't know that and I had been using Cosmos for configuring instead. Changing checkboxes and hitting /reloadui is a lot nicer than logging out every time.

    Yeah, that addon-loading feature is handy, I avoid the patcher like the plague but the zip with the latest alpha sometimes has something good. Although I have a hard time telling when something has been updated or not from in those zips.

    Just wish I could find a decent replacement for AIOI, I don't know why those five little bag windows annoy me so, but they really do.

    Just want to report in, I found a replacement for AIOI called MyBags, which seems to work about the same but doesn't cause any bugs with Auctioneer/Enchantrix. Excellent.

    Though it doesn't cause any bugs, per se, I have found that the auctioneer tooltip only works on the bank items when you are at the bank. When you are away from the bank, it's like auctioneer doesn't see the items.

    Ah well, it still beats the hell out of the bugs I was getting with AIOI. I suppose maybe if you put in another bank mod to show the bank you could get the prices? Or maybe just link the item to yourself in a chat line?
