Development::Testing: Beancounter mail retrieval

    Ok, I read somewhere that beancounter has the mail retrieval feature. So I disabled my long used AH_Mailcollect.
    I first tried to just right click on the mail to retrieve like it was in AH_Mailcollect. then I tried shit + rtclick. then ctrl+rtclick... then alt+rtclick. The last being the one that worked. While retrieving a few pieces of auction mail on a character (they had 3 items). The first item appeared in my inventory... the next two, just disappeared. thinking there was a possible mail / server bug, I logged and back in... no mail in mailbox... only the 1 item in my inventory.
    Now being the ever wise (smirk) guy I am... I logged to another character... and promptly attempted to loot my mail. and the first item showed up in inventory... (this guy had only 2 items from AH). the 2nd... poof into the wind.

    Now, I am not saying the issue is BeanCounter. I am more or less asking, is the mail loot featue in BeanCounter? Then if yes... trying to bring attention to a possible bug.

    The only other MoD's I use for mail interface is MailTo and AH_Mailcollect. When this issue occured... AH_Mailcollect was disabled. MailTo has some mail loot features... so, I do intend to bring up the discussion with them as well.. In the end, I am just attempting to bring awarness of a possible issue in beancounter or conflict with another mod. I am in no way, throwing out complaints etc. Thankfully the items that poofed were for my lowbie alts, and were rather trash items worth little cash.

    BeanCounter doesn't have any mail looting features, but it does hook into the mail looting process.

    Since Blizzard doesn't download the AH invoice until the message is read, BeanCounter has to delay mail loot requests until the invoice is received. Otherwise the messgae would be deleted before the invoice information was availible. If something goes haywire, or if BeanCounter has compatibility issues with a mail looting mod, its possible to get into a state where messages can be opened, but not looted.

    Personally I've used the latest CT_MailMod without any issues. I've heard reports that MailTo also works fine with BeanCounter. Outside of that I don't know for certain.

    First off, great mod! It has helped me tremendously! I'm replying to this topic as it seem to be related to my bug.

    This isn't as much a bug report as an enhancement request. Is it possible to have beancounter recognize the mails collected with a mass mail mod such as CT_MailMod or does one work for the majority of you?

    I did a few tests with BeanCounter 3.5.0.0844 and CT_MailMod 1.4 and if I use the CT_MailMod Open All button, BeanCounter doesn't recognize the Auctions, although if I open the mails individually it seems to work great. Opening 60 mails from both failed and successful auctions can get tedious and it would help to have this either built in, or semi-support another addon which would make our lives easier.

    I designed BeanCounter to work with CT_MailMod and I use it myself to loot mail. I don't recall which version I have, but I believe it was from the February or March timeframe. I'll have to check next the time I'm home. If changes to CT_MailMod have since broken the compatibility I'll be fixing it.

    I'm using CT_MailMod 1.43. Previous version of CT_MailMod do not work with BeanCounter.

    Grr I just looked at the major revision and didn't realize I was using an older CT_MailMod. Sorry for the false positive, and thanks again for this great mod!

    I definitely got hit by the mail looting disappearing item bug this morning.

    I used CT_MailMod to checkbox and loot three items:
    20 Heavy Stone
    20 Heavy Stone
    9(?) Heavy Stone

    When I ran over to the AH to put them up, they were missing from my inventory.

    The mail was items sent from an Alt, so not AH related in any way.

    CT_MailMod ## Version: 1.44 (CTMod 1.855)
    Auctioneer ## Version: 3.5.0.0908 (Platypus)

    I'll do more testing to see if I can narrow the problem.
