i would be willing to wait a couple days for the new release if code could be written to prevent abusabus from using the mod

You know what? Good job. "It will be released this friday, no matter what." I'm a computer science major, I know that things go behind schedule, but *never* say "No matter what".. And maybe next time, work on the change log while you're changing the code, that way you don't have to take 2 days to compile it right before release.
