They are close to unreadble to me (yes, I know they call you hawkeye and you don't have any problem, so you can't imagine anyone on the planet could have one).
  1.
Just modify the UI scale, or get an AddOn that modifies it for you.

You can only scale the UI smaller not larger.

And there are no addons which do this.

So let me request again: Can we get some scaleable tooltips - or failing that be allowed to NOT use the enhancedtooltip, I can't read what it says its just a multicolored block on the screen.

The following commands will turn off all tooltips, essentially doing the same thing if you have these components loaded:

    /auc toggle
    /inf toggle
    /btm tooltip off
    /enx toggle
  2.
    Try this:/run UIParent:SetScale(4)

Your attitude leaves something to be desired, so you might try a different tone if you wish to ask any further questions.

He got the tone he deserved. Handicaps are not funny.

While I do not condone rude comments, I also found MentalPower's post to be quite offending towards people with a sight handicap. This is not something to joke about and his "suggestion" was clearly a very bad attempt at a joke.

I'd agree, it was in bad taste.

By poor attitude I was referring to the blabla started this conversation to begin with, the asshole comment was just the topper. Perhaps he and MentalPower have some history I'm unaware of, but generally when one asks for help by starting with "yes, I know they call you hawkeye and you don't have any problem, so you can't imagine anyone on the planet could have one)" it starts things off on a bad note.

If you want help, don't start off by being rude. I'm sure an eyesight handicap is frustrating, however it's no excuse for rudeness.

Whoa! My suggestion was an honest one that I thought would solve your issue. It was not made as a joke or to offend anyone. The command I made does indeed increase the size of the UI, perhaps a bit too much. If you tried it in the battlegrounds or while raiding I'm very sorry. It was meant to show that you can indeed increase the UI's scale even if the default UI does not provide a way to do so. I wrote that piece of code without first trying it myself in WoW and for that I'm sorry, the effect was much greater than I thought it would be. Again, I apologize.

    Ok, sorry for my outburst.

Someone else told me to try:

    /run EnhancedTooltip:SetScale(1.2);

And that seems to work for now.

Oh, and Deckard, those original comments were not directed at MentalPower whom i have nothing against. They were directed against the thousands of people on the internet who always piss on you and ridicule you because they don't have a problem and can't accept anyone else might have one, and who show up on all boards all over to beat you down when you request a feature that they think is irrelevant.

Ah OK, thanks for the explanation, sorry I misunderstood.

I'm glad you found a setting that works better for your vision. Considering the number of people asking for larger fonts sizes in several aspects of the new UI design for AucAdvanced, I'm sure those issues will be addressed by the devs when they can get to it.

You may already be aware of it, but there is a mod called MoveIt that allows you do scale and move many, many parts of the WoW interface (though not Auctioneer's tooltips, unfortunately). The link will take you to the page at Curse.com, the only place it is hosted that I'm aware of.
