I dl the alpha to help testing. Did an ah search and it worked well. After the search i wanted to use blizz's normal search in order to look for some items, but the search just get stuck on "Seraching for items" - there are no results even though such items do exist.

When i turn auctioneer off the blizzard search function work as normaly again.

<put on his proffesional testers hat>
Just for confirmation, the steps you took were:
    1) Install Alpha (3.9.xxx)
    2) Scan???? Did you scan?
    3) Search for item <x>, using the search-tab (or via ctrl-right mouse on item <x>?)
    --> result: item was found
    4) Search for item <x or y> by typing in the name on the main tab and press search
--> result: search got stuck on "Search for items"
    5) Turn off Auctioneer (how? I assume by deselecting the addon in the addon-sreen and then reloading the game, if not, correct)
    6) Repeat step 4)
    --> result: item was found.

Am I correct that these are the steps you have done?

(This to clarify which steps you have done, so the developers can reproduce your problem quicker).
(To all: If you find a bug, please write down each step to reproduce clearly, this helps the developers and thus in the end you as end-user).

Ok here is a step by step.
    Test 1
    1. DL Alpha 3.9.0.1192
    2. Started an AH session
    3. Initiated an Auctioneer AddOn Scan of the AH. (Clicked your scan button next to the gold statement)
    4. Scan completed all well.
    5. Searched for <any item> (i tried several) by typing in the name in blizzard's main tab and click on blizzards search button
    6. Result = Stuck on "Searching for Items...." no results shown. Does not matter if you try to change for any other item and initiate a new search
    7. Unloaded Auctioneer (loging out and remove auctioneer from addons that load on startup then log back in again)
    8. Normal blizzard serach for items by typing in the name in blizzards main tab and clicking on blizzards search button now works and give results.
    9. Loaded Auctioneer again (loging out and let auctioneer load on startup again)
    10. Did a Normal blizzard serach for items by typing in the name in blizzards main tab and clicking on blizzards search button - Result: Working as normal - results show.
    11. Initiated an Auctioneer AddOn Scan of the AH by clicking on Auctioneer AddOn's Scan button - Result: Working as intended
    12. Tried again with a Normal blizzard serach for items by typing in the name in blizzards main tab and clicking on blizzards search button. Result : Stuck on "Searching for Items"
    13. Switching to "Search Auctions" tab and started an item search by typing in the name in "Search for Items" text box - then clicking Search. Result: Working as intended - result shows.
14 Switching back to "Browse" tab and initiated a new normal blizzard item search, Result:As previous stuck on "Searching for Items..."
    15. I tried to start a search by ctrl-right click on an item, but nothing at all happened. Didnt even try to start a search

I have a similar problem, but worse.....

Not only searching got stuck... I can't even find the items I put on AH, it's all empty! :/

I unactivated the auctioneer addons (stubby, auctioneer and that third one), yet still normal search is stuck.. not working.. and I still can't find my auctioned items :(

    1. Go to "Search Auctions" tab
    2. On the dropdown menu select "Items"
    3. Enter search string for known items you got on AH (in my case i got 3 khoo's point on ah)
    4. Click Search button.
    Result: Blank - no result

I'm having the exact same issue, and have been having it with the past few builds on the beta servers, and it is also occurring with .1122 on the live 2.0.1. It is simple to replicate. I just confirmed it is not a third-party addon conflict, with these steps:

    1. Install .1122 and delete auctioneer.lua and .bak from Saved Variables. Load character in 2.0.1. on live server with only the following Addons activated: Auctioneer, EnhTooltip, Informant and Stubby. This is as clean a test as I can think of.
    2. Open auction window. Browse for an item using Blizzard's Browse tab. Works normally.
    3. Run auction scan. Scan appears to complete normally.
    4. Now if you Browse for an item it goes into infinite loop, displaying "Searching for items."
    5. It appears the only way to escape the loop is to reload UI
    6. Note: While the infinite loop is running in Browse, the "Search Auctions" and "Post Auctions" tabs still seem to work normally.

If you download solo auctioneer from DL page, you wil fix this problem. Also you need to download solo next parts: Informant and Enchantrix.
Only BeanCounter dont work for me atm. I can search in AH but I have new problem. I cant buy items from AH.I do Buy out, but item dont go in Mail box, item stay in AH.

Short answer for any 3.9 version: download the next 3.9 version.

The 3.9 (sub)versions are development versions, so don't expect everything to function. Especially with this release, since Blizzard changed a lot.
(That a lot is working is a good sign).

No one here is expecting everything to function. We only dedicate time to help out and test the product. Hopefully the input will be useful and maybe even speed up the process of a stable release. These addons have given me so much since the start of wow that its the least i can do in order to try to give something back.

    Keep up the good work.

I find that this problem normally occurs after a scan.
Alt+ Right Clicking an item in Search Auctions or item in Inventory.
I simply log off and log in again then am able to search for item via Blizz Search

Ok. Just DL'd new alpha version. Must say I really like the right click options that are there. One other thing. Just my opinion. Can we toggle off the confirmation message when bidding or buying out???

    :rasta:

Ok After doing a scan, even with the right click options for browse auctions, the search screen will freeze with "....." I logged off, relogged, seached my auctions, right click browse for auction of certain item and worked fine

I had this same problem, logging off and back on (with auctioneer disabled) fixes it. Am I wrong or does this primarily (or always happen) if you search for an item that is NOT on AH? E.g. if you search for "Silk Cloth" do you get the same behavior?

Typing /console reloadui also works (usually) if you don't want to log off.
