    Hi, I've been testing the latest Beancounter and I've got a problem I had encountered before with mail management addons. I'm using EasyMailSystem to open the mail by types (like Open all AH Won, from AH with money, for a particular toon, etc.) The problem I have is that when beancounter is active, the mail from AH that have items often do not open. They become gray in the mailto windows but the items are not send to my bags nor is the mail deleted.

    I've added that problem with earlier versions of Beancounter and other addons like MailTo and CT_Mail. That was eventually fixed but I don't know what the fix was. Is there something to do in the AddOn to fix this? Something in Beancounter? Something I can do to debug the problem?

    Thanks for any help (I miss Beancounter a lot but if it prevent my items from being receive from the mailbox, I can't use it mush... )

    This is just a bump. I was wondering if anyone was seeing the same problem or if any of the developers remembered it from the time around which beancounter was introduces. With the latest version of the auctioneer package, items often get stuck in the mailbox when using EasyMailSystem. The mail items becomes gray and are not looted. If I open such a gray mail item, I can't loot the attachment from the open message, I need to close the mailbox and sometime even logout and log back in. If I disable beancounter, the problem goes away.

    I'm feeling there is something that could be done with EasyMailSystem to fix the issue but I don't know what it is. Is there a way for the other mail addons to use beancounter to loot the mail instead of having everyone hook the same function?

    TIA

    i need to add that i got the same problem (mail stuck) without any other add-on (just the auctioneer pack)
    i sometime need to close the mailbox to get the attached marchandise (no need to log out for me)
    so may be it s not related to EasyMailSystem?

    Just another report of BeanCounter causing mail issues. I am using Gmail (Ace mod) for mailing purposes, and even with the mail mod disabled (using blizz's default mail system) you still can't actually get mail out. It took me forever to track down, but I eventually discovered it was BeanCounter causing this.

    I would consider this a *major* bug in the release of the Auctioneer pack.

    This bug caused me to lose about 10 mail items before I noticed it. Because the inbox items do not open/loot properly, the macro I use to auto-loot my inbox deleted the items without looting them. Thankfully, I only lost ~30g worth of stuff so it's not a big problem but could have been much worse. I hope this serves as a warning to others.

    The macro I use is:

    /script GetInboxText(1); TakeInboxItem(1); TakeInboxMoney(1); DelteInboxItem(1);

    So I guess it was failing to take the stuff and then deleting the mail.

    first: this bug has been fixed in the latest build.

    second: even using your macro, doesn't WoW throw up a warning if you try to delete a mail with an item still attached?

    Nope, WoW seems more than happy to delete mail with stuff in it, unless I have another addon or something that is suppressing an error message. I'll have a look into it later tonight.
