    WoW Watcher is a program which was created to help track both item vendor price info (used for Informant and BTM), as well as other interesting information (quest info is certainly being highlighted).

    Please note the download link is currently unavailable. Watcher needs some TBC updates to function properly, and the developers have been busy with Auctioneer and haven't had a chance to make any changes yet.

    It is a work in progress, but if you wish to contribute, here is the download link.

    So, since there is no current PTR or TBC beta, we do NOT use the addon?

    I was trying to use it anyway, it was causing disruption in my quest log.

    I don't even think the addon is being distributed any more, is it? just the external EXE file.

    norganna should really answer these questions. I haven't really been close to the wow watcher project.

    I'd love to help with the WoW Watcher effort by uploading my data, but it seems all the download links at the above site give 404 errors. Is WoW Watcher just currently not available?

    I tried it just now and was able to access it no problem. Sometimes the sites for Auctioneer, Gatherer, WoW Watcher, etc. have issues with graphics or with loading, but in general I find them far more reliable than the major mod sites and even Blizzard's own forums.

    @Nordoelum: It would be nice to have an updated version, but since there is only a limited development team available the main-priorities of the development team are (as far as I understood):
    1) Auctioneer
    2) Gatherer
    3) Enchantrix ? (notice the ?)
    4) Other.

    If you can't download the watcher-upload client, be patient.

    The links to this are broken just about everywhere. The official page shows v1.0.7, the Gatherer page shows 1.0.34, and other pages show other versions. Why not link to something like WoW-Watcher-Latest.zip , or something similar? That way people's links are not outdated. But most importantly, please at least fix the links on the download page... none work, and from the looks of these comments, it's been broken for at least a few months.

    I've mentioned this in a number of other threads, but the Watcher download is currently unavailable. Until one of the devs has a chance to make some important changes, the app in its current state isn't very useful. Sorry, not ETA on its return.

    Ah, should I discontinue uploading my data with my copy then and wait for an update, or is that still helpful?

    i'm not sure. it probably doesn't matter one way or another, as some of the data may still be useful.

    Watcher still seems to be working for me except that there's a long pause after the data upload progress bar goes away and the main window status changes from "Beginning upload..." to "Successfully uploaded data". Perhaps another status report to "Waiting for upload acknowledgement" or whatever is happening during this time.

    Yes, the current version still uploads, and the data is used. I have another new version of the client and addon in the "works" at the moment.

    I recently reformatted my computer and Watcher was one of the things I forgot to back up first. I'd love to continue submitting my data, but there's nowhere to download.... Sad panda.

    not until we release the new version, i'm afraid. i hear through the woodwork that it might be close, though. no promises, of course.
