I haven't seen much news on the Watcher front. I'm looking forward to that feature where you can search for quests via character. I've been uploading data regularly.
By the way, does Watcher upload Enchantrix data? I've been disenchanting new expansion items (like quest rewards, etc.) any time I don't see enchant data. Watcher's uploading that, right?
One of the features I most look forward to is a community-wide gathering of information (and subsequent available download of information). It's a hassle sometimes for all of us to sit at the auction house and gather information 24/7, but often that is necessary to gather sufficient (and accurate) data for Auctioneer. However, as soon as we can compile serverwide data from several different sources, that would make Auctioneer far more effective. If even only 20 people from a given server submit data from a 15-minute scan once or twice a day, within about two weeks, a highly accurate .lua file could be made available to new users of Auctioneer from that particular server, thus giving them a 'starting point', if you will, to add their own data.
Is there an ETA on this feature yet, or is it still in the rough stages?
The watcher-uploader is already there. Download it from http://wowwatcher.com/data. The addon has been put on hold by Norganna.
The only current problems with the watcher-site is that you can't log in or make a query for something, since it refreshes to quickly (at least for me).
