Hello, I recently downloaded the newest beta of Auctioneer to fix the clear command. I backed up my data and then converted, cleared out the prices for Greater Magic Essence, and went to scan the AH again.

Finish scanning, no auctioneer data for the item. All the other items work fine. I check the AH, there are about 15 entries for Greater Magic essence and auctioneer doesn't pick up on any of them.

Is this the way this is supposed to function?

To answer your question, no, this is not normal behaviour. I've been unable to reproduce the error. I'd like for you to verify if you're using the most current beta version of Auctioneer/EnhTooltip available? If this is true, then I would like you to compress your SavedVariables\Auctioneer.lua file and add it as an attachment to this post. If not then i would like you to upgrade to the latest avaiblable from http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/ and verify if the bug is still there.

Should be the latest beta, here's the TOC contents...
    ## Version: 3.1.0.0383
    ## Revision: $Id: Auctioneer.toc 322 2005-09-28 18:58:16Z norganna $

    which matches auctioneer-3.1.0.0383.zip

Had to register to attach the lua. Zipped it from 2megs to half a meg.... which is too big for this forum... http://www.brajah.com/files/jack/Auctioneer.zip

Just to confirm, Greater magic essences show for my main, Delogar on SH, but not for my alt, Theit on Cenarius.

As a small update, I had the same problem and MP was finally able to reproduce it. We're poking at it now.

I think I've figured out what it does when you use the clear command. I think that it takes the auctions assigned to the item you want to clear, and bans them. That way if you scan again you wont get the same auctions. I went back to the AH now and scanned, and now its showing prices for the item I cleared.

So... not really a problem anymore...

The bug has been sqashed as of the latest SVN (Commit number 384). The bug happened because not all the data was being cleared when "/auc clear [Item Link Here]" was invoked. The function responsible has been updated and this should no longer be an issue. Please download the latest .zip file and confirm on your side that the bug has indeed been eliminated.
