Just purchased a few enchant formulas from the AH. 3 of the same one.
One was purchased for 1g89s and the other two for 2g each.

Looking at the tooltips for all three items shows all items were purchased for 1g89s.
I assume this is a bug, but I'm not sure how AH/beancounter marks items unique. This has happened for
    a few essences as well.

the tooltip only shows that "last" purchase price. it doesn't (and can't) keep track of each item uniquely. if you do a search for the item name on the transaction tab, you should see all the purchases listed separately, however.

That's what I figured, tracking unique items in tooltip would be too tricky, as I assume you guys don't have access
to the WoW UID for each thing in your bags.

Thanks for the info :) always good to get responses so quick. Excellent stuff:smile:

    Further testing.....
2 stacks of iron bar one purchased for 4g one bought for 5g
"Last bought for resale (16mins) 4g"
"Last bought for resale (15mins) 5g"
The different timestamps allows for storing the purchase price? Any reason that would be different than the enchants?

were they different stack sizes? if so, we can differentiate that way (though i didn't realize we were). if you restack them into different sizes, you will probably lose that tooltip info. and enchants (and other items which must always be in a stack size of 1) you cannot differentiate between, as I said before. at least, that is my recollection.

hmm, learn something new every day. i guess we are storing the uniqueID for these items and tracking them that way.

i'm just guessing, but please turn on the informant option to show link ID's, and see if the last number for each stack is different. then look at your enchants and see if they have different last numbers (or if they are both 0's).

you're right, the iron stacks have unique numbers ending, but one of my dust stacks just sold, so can't compare right now, will continue to monitor though.
Possible that the LinkID is getting overwritten when similar(identical?) items are being purchased?

i don't think that's possible, no. more likely those items just do not specify a uniqueID (not all do, many are 0).
