Is there some sort of cap on how many nodes you can have per node type? For example I like to herb a lot in netherstorm. After a week or so of continuously finding new nodes for netherbloom I noticed today that gatherer no longer marks netherbloom nodes, yet I can mark different nodes like dreaming glory and what not. I sure do have a lot of netherbloom nodes on my map, so I ask, is there some kind of limit on how many nodes you can have for a specific node type? If so, is there some way I can change that? Would be great if that was added to the next version.

There is no limit on the number of nodes that you can record imposed by Gatherer. It is also very unlikely that you have run into the limitations of the client itself.

Hmm that is strange because gatherer wouldn't mark new netherbloom nodes, but there is one thing I tried that fixed it. As soon as I went into the herb options and filtered out herbs that I don't ever pick up like goldthorn, it started marking netherbloom nodes again. Thats why I was curious about the cap. If there isn't a cap then I don't understand why gatherer behaved like this, or could it be a bug?

I'm not sure why Gatherer would have stopped recording nodes, but I very much doubt it is related to your display filters. There have been intermittant reports of recording problems, but nothing we have been able to track down or even reproduce at this point.

Are you running any tooltip AddOns? A list of the AddOns you are running might also be helpful.

I just remembered that there is a setting that controls the maximum number of nodes displayed on the world map at one time. The default is 600. Could you be bumping up against this limit. This is assuming that the nodes are showing up on the Minimap.
  1.
Having the same issue as described here. Sometimes it will record the locations of herbs, other times no. Recently cleared out all the gatherer files and started from scratch to see if maybe I had some legacy files in there that were impacting it, but that did not solve the issue. Only collecting herbs in the outlands, all types, just randomly does not mark locations. Tooltip mod I have is TinyTip and that is it I believe, not at home at the moment or would check.

I'm having the same issue with gatherer not recording some herb and mining locations after right clicking them. I don't know why it is recording some stuff and not others.

This is mostly evident to me in outlands.
