Well, for starters this is my first post here but I have to give props because Auctioneer is my single most favorite add on its great! The problem obviously is how in every time there is a new patch and the mods well.............. you know what I mean.Basically I would like to know in the future would it be best to not get rid of auctioneer when a patch comes out and wait for a fix and will the past saved information still be saved or do you have to start from scratch?

    thanks

Personally I wouldn't care if I had to start from scratch as long as I can use it again

I'm rather curious too... I'm quoted as the girl my guild's level 60's come running to, especially whether they should toss, vendor, or auction something. I'd love to update auctioneer since the last patch made it go screwy, but I really don't want to lose my data :/ Is there a certain file we can copy and put in the auctioneer folders after updating the version by chance? And sorry if this was already answered somewhere else, I'm looking around right after waking up so I'm not my most observant right now

We currently have functions that convert data from old Auctioneer formats to the new ones. Which means that even if you upgrade from version to version you will keep your data. However errors and bugs do happen so it's always good to backup that data regularly. The file you need to backup is the <WoW Folder>\WTF\ACCOUNT\<Your Account>\SavedVariables\Auctioneer.lua
