I am simply amazed at how easy it was to whip this up. I've been trying with only limited success to throw together an addon using the Ace libraries to do what took me.... about forty seconds to put together using AuctioneerAdv. :)
    Url of my evaluator: http://pastey.net/74187
I say "my" rather loosely. Just made a few changes to the distrib EvalResale.

This WoWEcon evaluator works rather well when 1) you've not had enough scans to build up a good dataset or 2) you dataset has been tainted by gold seller/gold transfer auctions.

    Enjoy. ~Bunny

Bother. Found a case where wowecon price isn't always returned. One line fix. So, bump that time up to one minute. :)

    bunnyfufu,
Could you post a short explanation of how you implemented this? I ran into some problems and would like to see how you did it.

Could you please be more specific with your question? In general, I: took the EvalTemplate.lua, inserted appropriate bits from EvalResale.lua and my own WOWEcon baserule, then poof, realized that just a day or two earlier mentalpower had posted Auc-Util-WoWEcon, which is far superior.
  2.
Well, Auc-Util-WoWEcon is an Auctioneer Advanced stats engine, whereas yours is a BTM evaluator, they both server their purpose. And for the record, norgs wrote it, not me.
  3.
Hmmm...when I search for this "Auc-Util-WoWEcon", I only get the entries in this thread. So far I have only seen the one bunnyfufu wrote and I would like to look at the one Norganna wrote.

So when I get this, I place it along with the other evaluators and edit the .toc for BTM
Or is this a different set for analyzing the prices and predicting things? In which case I would set my prediction methods to the Auc-Util-WoWEcon settings in Auctioneer?

the one norgs wrote is a stats module. It is included in recent auctioneer advanced releases. It will, I believe, only be visible if you have wowecon installed.

Perhaps a little off topic, but it is about Wowecon....anyway, does anyone have the issue with Wowecon that is shows vendor and server/global pricing on absolutely everything? Even things such as other players, button tooltips. Basically anything with a tooltips it seems to show pricing info. It does the same for DE info if you have that enabled. I had no idea other players could be DE'd!!!

    :jumping:

yes, it was a known issue with a recent release. i thought the most recent had fixed it, but i couldn't swear to this.
  4.
Ah....now I get it. The wowecon was listed in the dropdowns. Nice.

Yes the problem with DE players ( I, BTW, DE into a crapload of good stuff! ) is supposedly not fixed yet.

    Now . Question?
Does Enchantrix use the Auc-Util-WoWEcon to predict DE profit once its in?
Does something need to be set or edited?

Once again, thanks for the help and the effort for this mod. It really is a usefull and worthy tool.

As a quick comment, WOWEcon itself will provide disenchant information, separate from Enchantrix if necessary, and I assume this function is exposed (is it even possible to hide a function?). I suspect you would need to rewrite the EvalDisenchant.lua or write your own (EvalDisenchantWOWEcon.lua) to use this with Bottomscanner, but it might be worth doing.

My Kung Fu is weak when it comes to LUA, but I might just do that, or give it a try anyway. I figure we could use the reported value of the Reagents from the WOWEcon module and then calculate the avergae/estimated return based on the current market price...

Your idea about the EvalDisenchantWOWEcon.lua was where I was going with this. If we had one we could use it instead of the standard method while its training up, or even instead of the other as a personal preference.

If I post it please dont laugh too hard...;)

You can use Auc-Util-WoWEcon to perform disenchant predictions (did I mention *far* superior to what I crufted together).
Type/enx showClick on Auctions then look at the"Item Value calculated from" dialog at the bottom. You should be able to change that to AucAdvWoWEcon once everything is set up and installed correctly.
I've also done that with my resale module. I have to manually eyeball a few of my servers wonky items (small prismatic shards, for example, sell for more than large ones) but for the most part I can begin a scan and click "yes" over and over again until my coffee kicks in. Good stuff. :)
  6.
So do you have the problem with the non DE items showing DE specs?

WoWEcon does list DE prices for some non-disenchantable items. They claim to be working on their tooltip problem.

If you disable the ability of WoWEcon to display tooltip data and just rely upon enchantrix to perform that function, I think you'll find that the issue goes away.

So here it is...a brilliant sunny day. Most folks have opted to take the day off so here I am sitting bored

...and dying to get home and try this...;)
