I just tried to post Ironweb Spider Silk, both using the 8 hour and the 24 hour option. I had a stack of 6 starting out. After some lag and not doing anything posting one of them, it finally posted after a couple of tries. The next two tries did nothing but change the stack size. From 5 to 4. The second try did NOT change it from 4 to 3. I closed the auction window, went to get mail, got a stack of three that I had bought out, and they did NOT stack with the stack of 4 I thought I had. I looked again and whoaaa now that original stack was only 3. I moved the new stack to the original and only had a stack of 6. I went back and checked the auction window and still only the first one I posted there. So now I'm minus two Ironweb Spider Silks that appear to have vanished into thin air while trying to post them.

Also it will not post Knothide Leather Scraps in stacks of 20 I had to do that thru the normal post window of the AH. It does the same thing...sits there and hangs and turns the item grey in your pack but will not post it thru the post tab. At least I didn't lose any of those. But this is just in the first few items I tried, so there must be quite a few others that aren't working. Use CAUTION because items ARE being deleted!!

It's having an issue with stacks too, some items refuse to split and post from a stack, and then if you leave the AH and try posting through the normal AH post, and select 8 hours, it's still posting them for 24 hours. Trying several times with Primal Lifes with no success at all...have to split them out to singles and post thru the normal AH post which does NOT post them for 8 hrs as selected.

i'd be very surprised if items were lost or deleted, to be honest.

but in any case, we will not be updating auc 4.0 any longer, so your best bet will be to move to either auc classic or auc advanced. we're working through a few issues with those build now, but there should be stable versions of both available within the next few hours.

Well you be very surprised then. Because that is exactly what happened.

And the next bug is..."using my current price" posted stacks of 5 items at the SINGLE PRICE when it had been working fine all along. Just lost about 300g worth of stuff that way. Guess that's what we can expect from free things.

as dinesh stated above 4.05 is not working with 2.3 patch so the safe bet would be to migrate over to the 5.0 line.

I think the translation is: "I've read the original poster's message 4 times, but my brain gave out trying to understand it....maybe someone (probably using btm) bought you out?"

That's my best guess anyway.

I agree with dinesh. Auc really has nothing to do with moving your items. These are not able to be acted on by addons other wise you'd have a bunch of people writing addons to "steal" all your stuff. To destroy and item you would still have to confirm a delete... it wont just "disappear". You either sold it or were absolutly mistaken... (Have you been tested for dyslexia?) Just take the time to change your ver. like he said.

There's an API call to delete items directly. Auctioneer doesn't call it anywhere.

I've lost items to lag before, and they've always come back when I've relogged.

I had this problem in one of the builds but it had something to do with the PICKMAIL mod and it fighting with AADV after a build upgrade from here it went away, didnt loose any actual items just got alot of confirmations about deleting items

The situation I've seen in the past (but only once or twice and a fair time back) was that Auctioneer would be splitting stacks and posting things and then it would pause and the item would stuck hanging on my cursor. If I clicked back in my bags it placed the item there and Auctioneer continued with posting things automatically again without me doing anything else. But hypothetically if I'd clicked on the screen it would've given me the "do you want to delete this?" window.
I haven't seen that problem in any recent release and it still wouldn't auto delete things.

Thanks but no thanks. Tried it, in both "advanced" and "classic". The user interface is worse, the functionality is diminished or missing entirely... I see no reason to even have it installed. I think it's a damned shame that the brilliant folks who created Auctioneer/Enchantrix/BottomScanner have chosen to turn their backs on such an amazingly useful set of utilities. A damned shame. Auctioneer worked, and it worked spectacularly well. I am going to miss it.

To be honest most of the functionality is there and seems to be getting better almost daily (using the dev versions myself now) and I used classic and very happily changed over to advanced, its a better product if you take the time to learn it, yes I can honestly say it does take a bit more effort to understand over classic (old) but I think that overall it already has more functionality than prev versions and is much more configurable to taste and desires. I think you are not giving it enough of a chance and bailing out on a program that continues to grow, and develop and gets better with every download IMHO yes there are some features that the prev version had that advanced doesn't but it is all essentially slated to be put in. Can't blame the devs here for blizz changing the way things function. Also the folks here are the *best* I have ever seen for standing behind their product and dev's. These guys spend countless hours working on this stuff for everyone else and don't charge you a penny for this product *plug: please donate -- note to self, make a donation* Give it a chance, the ability to add your own modules is very nice and I will be writing one of my own once I learn how to a bit more. Tell you what, wouldn't know what to do in wow without my AADV
