random post, not really related to the mod here, but I found amusing...

    Percent memory used: 1348822127
    Total physical memory: 125780070656367
    Free Memory: 35540854374402
    Page file: 16325836413270524
    Total virtual memory: 18446744071504501488

the end part of the error message I got while logging out

:rolling: where can I get that much memory for my computer? bwahahahahhaahha
I blame Microsoft for not giving me a million times as much memory

sigh .. there goes the last 8 hours of game data... since it didn't exit gracefully and write the data to file .

still hopefully the cause is just a one off and not more serious .. I look at it later after sleep

If you are using WowEcon I've seen this happen once...
The wowecon data file somehow got to over a gig...

    I'm not using WoWEcon ...

    Total physical memory: 125780070656367 ->

    K : 1024
    M : 1048576
    G : 1073741824
    T : 1099511627776
^ : 125780070656367 = 114.4 TB - not sure about you .. but my hard drives aren't even close to that size :winkkiss: (only 300GB)

I can only guess.. but it looks like an endless loop ... or a field length overwrite ?
the former I would have expected to crash much earlier ...
the later ... would suggest a sloppy program or worse

anyway... I need to check the cause and see if it repeats .. sigh

    Smile. It's definitely crazy!
I have about 5 TB at home, but still nowhere near 114!

without changing any settings.. it happened again .. after I was trying to log out again - this time
character C, then A, then B, then A, then B, then C ... logging out of the character here WoW crashed with the fatal game error ... weird.. its not consistant yet..
the last thing I did before attempting to log out was an AH scan (classic scan then advanced scan method to catch any missed ones) - but I did that on the 2nd and 3rd log out also .. so hmm not really sure what is happening
the memory error part only differs in the Free Memory bit

about the only real consistant thing is its happening just before I want to exit the game and sleep. (about dawn) :P

I haven't a clue, that is really really odd...
Specially seeing if it was due to a corrupted file then it should be happening to all characters.

Can you look in your saved variables directory, sort by size, and see if any seem too big?

That looks more like a corrupted stack, or something related to the output routine being corrupted.

looks like I can reproduce it.. again it happens after I do a double scan then attempt to log out to change to another character

since it could be due to several things... step 1 .. reduce the variables... (i.e. see if it is reproduce-able with only AA-suite/dev and not other mods)
(well after checking for updates ...)

Kinesia ... none of the real files are too big.. I've even looked at Task Manager and it doesn't indicate anything obvious to me ... it even suggests I have plenty of RAM, virtual memory and hard drive space left.

on the positive side... sleep time is a while away ... but I'll take a snack break anyway.
hopefully I'll have a better idea in about an hour or so.

I haven't reproduced it again... even though I did the same thing - I guess that is a good thing...

the only difference is I turned off 4 mods.... which otherwise don't seem to complain - so it could be purely coincidental... well one was generating minor errors... but I can live without using that mod and two other minor looking errors

["message"] = "Interface\\AddOns\\Atlas\\Atlas.lua:181: attempt to index field '?' (a function value)",
["message"] = "Interface\\AddOns\\RecipeKnown\\RecipeKnown.lua:481: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)",

looks like more testing until it breaks again or ... I conclude the problem has gone away ...

it sort of went away ... when I was attempting to do quick tests for it .. but comes back when I play on a single character for an extended duration, (without doing any /reloadui or similar method to force a SV file write,) and also in that session have a dual style AH scan (classic & advanced)

I was wandering around looking at other things and found.

(its link to the European forums was broken http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=288810541&postId=2887148194&sid=1#0 ) so I looked around more and found

    and also

I probably should have included the top part of the error message earlier
This application has encountered a critical error:

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

    Program: C:\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    File: .\src\lmemPool.cpp
    Line: 311

    Requested 1533101 bytes of memory

    WoWBuild: 7561

anyway... I'll test if deleting the cache folder fixes it.

I just had this happen when attempting to post 175 dream dust in stacks of 5. It thought for a bit then crashed before posting anything.
I've had it happen a few other times in the last few days too but never before.

If anyone can/want's to verify what I'm seeing is the same as reported by the OP with regards to the Blizz UI forum entry, I have crash dump and error log available. Naturally stuff's been sent to Blizz using their handler.

I was going to create an internal issue for Stubby with regards to the forum post mentioned in the OP, for tracking purposes, but couldn't find a 'can't fix' option. I guess we need to wait until there's a large AH on the PTR to make sure the error we're seeing is the same as that reported in the UI forum ;)

For the record, I had taken the lazy route and put the issue down to some wine git+wow+aucsvn combination.

I removed Wowecon and haven't had it happen again, but seeing it was random anyway that doesn't prove anything yet...
