Here are some bugs/missing-features from Auctioneer Classic Suite r2778.

    1. Min bid % is lost from saved searches after quitting WoW (it seems to store it fine during the current session though).
    2. In the "Search Auctions" tab clicking one of the headers Profit or Pct, sorts them in the wrong order, showing the least profit first, likewise when searching it defaults to showing the lowest Pct first not the highest.
    3. Last Sold Price missing from "Post Auctions" tab.
    4. Message "Enchantrix requires Auctioneer 3.4 or higher, some features will be unavailable until you update your Auctioneer installation".
    5. Beancounter doesn't auto-fill with selected item from Browse tab.
    6. Seemingly random icons appear in the "Drop item into box to search" box when searching in Beancounter.
    7. It would be good if Beancounter automatically used d/m/y in the en-GB locale (or maybe theres no way to distinguish).
    8. /auctioneer auction-duration lists possible options as last/2h/8h/24h instead of the new durations from WoW 2.3.
    9. The red "Clear any custom search parameters" button seems to be redundant now that the default auction UI has a reset button.
    10. When scanning just one section while using Bottomscanner, sometimes the scan gets stuck at a certain page, and it will continue to get stuck at that page if you retry. This never happens when doing a full scan without Bottomscanner.
    11. Sometimes when pressing the UIRefresh button in the "Post Auctions" tab the list doesn't update even though the green results text appears in the chat pane, pressing the button again usually correctly updates the listings. This happens mainly with cloth and other items that have a large amount of entries.
    12. /auctioneer protect-window doesn't seem to work any more.
    13. According to the help panel in the Snatch evaluator /btm snatch should give more info but on my system it just prints out "called snatch-handlersnatch".

    Edited: #3 solved, added 12 and 13.

    Hope that helps.

please confirm that you have read the AC FAQ, in particular the item regarding auctioneer displaying the old auction times instead of the new ones. mostly likely this is causing many of the errors you listed.

Just in regards to the beancounter related stuff...
    3. Last Sold Price missing from "Post Auctions" tab.
It is working with the latest beancounter and auc-classic r2778. It will no longer dig into classic data thou so items that were last sold before that will have to be manually searched in beancounter.

    6. Seemingly random icons appear in the "Drop item into box to search" box when searching in Beancounter.
They are, the texture is really only useful if theres only one type of item returned, you are using alt-click links or you have exact search checked.

    7. It would be good if Beancounter automatically used d/m/y in the en-GB locale (or maybe theres no way to distinguish).
Date is fully user configurable in beancounter's settings. right-click the beancounter icon of the sidebar.

@Dinesh, I belive hes refereing to one of the command line options help text has the wrong values, not that teh mod is displaying them wrong.

    If you mean Q3 here: http://forums.norganna.org/discussion/3266/auctioneer-classic-and-auctioneer-405-support-faq/#Item_0 />
Then yes I always obsessively remove existing directories before installing a new version of an add-on. :)

What do you mean by "classic data", do you mean it only works if you have AA and AC installed (I only have AC) or something else? I've never seen it work in AC5 even with stuff I sell all the time.

Thanks, I did notice that but was hoping you hard working developers could automate it for lazy users like me. :D

Yep, sorry should have been clearer, if you list the auctioneer slash commands in the chat frame you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for all your hard work devs.

Edit: Removed my response to random icons issue, I misunderstood what was being said.

Beancounter was rewritten from scratch a few months ago, while the new versions preserve the old data, it saves in a different format now. So classic data in this case is the older beancounter data from before the upgrade.

Prior to 2778 both the new and classic used a similar enough search routine that I returned "last price sold data" from either. Now thou to improve search performance new data is searched via a index table, not key by key as classic was. To prevent beancounter from slowing auctioneer down when searching only the new DB is searched.

Thanks I must have only been looking at stuff from before the rewrite, it looks like it does work after all, sorry about that. :shamed:

pike, please take a screenshot of your explorer window after you have deleted earlier auctioneer files, but before you install the new ones. You must be missing something (or installing something that isn't a recent build).

#12 was broken by WoW 2.3.2 (the SetUIPanel error was caused by the protect-window code). We'll reimplement this as soon as we can figure out how to do so, and it will end up in both AA and AC.

#13 broken with a recent update, I'm not sure why. We'll have to look into it and fix it at some point.

Probably :) This is from before installing Auctioneer:

Then I copy the entire contents of AuctioneerClassicSuite-5.0.PRE.2778.zip (and nothing else) into that folder.

nope, nothing jumps out at me. Can you now try disabling all your other addons and running with just auctioneer installed? If you are still getting the error, can you screenshot it for me, for shits and giggles?

Did you mean the Enchantrix error? If so, here it is (I also renamed my WTF dir hence the missing macros/icons/etc):

    http://www.screenshots.cc/view_image/6a5a71640/EnchantrixErr.png

Normally it appears as a line in the chat log, rather than as a dialog box.

It's not the post tab, it's the slash command /auctioneer auction-duration, the post tab correctly lists the new times, sorry for the confusion I'm hopeless at explaining things clearly.

oh, heh. man, all this talk because of a communication error on my part.

you can log a JIRA issue for that if you'd like.

Thanks, I'll look into doing that tomorrow.

I just confirmed that #10 (scan getting stuck) only happens when Btmscanner is running, without it there is no problem.

    @ kandoko

I think I might have jumped the gun on declaring #3 solved, I just had an item that had no "Last Price Sold" showing, I checked BeanCounter and I had sold some today. Are there any other valid reasons why it wouldn't show up?
