I think there should be a update on the front page telling all users to update to the latest release before posting bugs as the front page is normally out of date lately. I'm sure this is due to all the devs working out the bugs but im sure it would cut down on alot of forum posts and general confusion/frustration/ lost time that could be spent doing other things rather then saying the same thing in 10 different threads" please update to the latest release that bug has been fixed in version XXX".

That's a good idea. Perhaps it could be something permanent on the front page regarding whatever version is current, and a note to always be sure to have the latest update before posting. Apparently the FAQs aren't enough, since we seem to get multiple people every day who don't know they're running outdated versions.

Perhaps it could look something like this:

The current preview version of Auctioneer is: 5.0.PRE.2823

Please be sure you are running the latest version of Auctioneer Advanced and/or Classic before posting bug reports in the forums!
(Failure to follow these simple instructions will result in a sound mocking, followed by much wailing and gnashing of teeth)

The version text should be changed every time there is a new update to Auctioneer posted, to avoid confusion for the masses who don't regularly visit the site and are generally unwaware they're running outdated versions of the suites.
