    I'm not sure how this would apply to gatherer though...

    oh, you mean create an RSS feed? for the releases? for the announcements?

    no i mean on the site, for browsers, so when a new release comes out it will immediately notify anybody subscribing to the feed.

    I am told that the forums already have RSS feed capabilities, but that the widget that provides them is not functioning properly. it's a fairly low priority thing for us right now, but I'll add it to JIRA.
