I'd like to set the locale setting of informant to some form of english (is there only enUS? no need for a enGB?), while at the same time playing wow in german. (since I'm playing on a german server it's easier to chat if you know what quests etc. are called.)
Auc Advanced 5.0 is not intended to have much, if any, localizations support. we're planning that for AA 5.1.
Having said that, Informant is mostly the same as it was under Auc4, and I thought it had localisation already built in, so as far as I know it should be working. Perhaps someone else who knows more can chime in.
If I understand you correctly, you're wanting to use a different localization for Informant (something English) than for the rest of the game (German), is that correct?
I have no problems running the game and Informant in the same localization setting, either english or german. (All hail blizz's language patches, parts of the german localization can only be endured for a short period of time without headaches. :-)) But I got the above inserted error message from Swatter after an unsuccessful attempt of changing Informants localization from german to enUS, while running the game in german.
Hrmm. I looks like Informant is looking for Babylonian to handle its localization when you use that command, but for whatever reason can't find it loaded. I'm honestly not sure why, I'll take a look at it when I can, but if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to jump in.
That's what I get for looking at my svn copy... it's separate for me, and my quick look through tocs didn't find it listed as a dependency there, so I wasn't sure.
Well, Babylonian is embedded as a folder in the Informant\libs one and called from the .toc, but under optionaldeps.
I tried pulling out in the main Addons folder as suggested, B. appeared in the Character Select screen, everthing work fine (but in german) and when I tried to change the locale to english, a similar error message appeared.
(I apologize for posting the (probably) unhelpfull obvious, but my skills are exceeded at this point.)
