I've been using Auctioneer for a while now and even though I'm probably not using its full power or have even scratched the surface, but I am finding it useful.
However, since the last patch I have downloaded the latest preview versions of Advanced and Classic and am having problems with appraiser. Sometimes it doesn't want to pick up all the saleable items in my bags. If I try to post conventionally by getting the stuff straight from my bags, I get an error message telling me I don't have enough of an item to sell, even though it has recognised the item, e.g. clothing, as a stack of 1. I then get an error info box listing the files, and they are all Auctioneer files.
I would report this to Blizzard but in these circumstances I would expect them to blame the addon.
Can anybody help, or is this an identified bug in the preview?
yes if you get a swatter error please post the full error here. if you have any other bug catching addons( bugsack, improved error , etc. etc.) please disable those so swatter catches the error.
Have to admit, I don't know what a swatter error is but can confirm that i don't run any other addons...only Auctioneer. I will try later today to replicate the error and I'll copy the error messages ....watch this space. :-)
if you type /swat show it will pop up a box with the latest error that swatter has caught. swatter is the bug catching module for the auctioneer addon.
I've included them all just in case though I suspect that maybe the earlier ones were because I had only downloaded Advanced in error; once I had downloaded Adv and Classic together I expected them to stop.
The first error is because your scan data file is corrupt somehow.
> go to the appraiser tab. This forces the scandata to be loaded into memory, so it can be cleared > type "/run AucScanData.scans=nil" (capitalization is important) > log out, so that the savedvariable file gets written
p.s. I also edited out your account name from that post.
