    Hi all

Sorry for inconvenience, but I'm from Germany and I can't understand the manual ´very well.

My question belongs to the filter settings for IgnoreItemQuality.
I tried it with wool cloth (common) and BTM Scanner accepted it, no matter there was a hook
    on "Common" or not.

Do those hooks down the page filter the items, or do they let them pass through the filter?

A next question is how to avoid scan hits for items that were heavily overprized by
    a regular fraction transfer.
I.e. a stack of cheap bread with a price of 500g for money transfer horde/alliance in the
Auctioneer statistics (seen e.g. 100 times):
BottomScanner hits that for resale, if someone puts the same kind of bread into the AH
for 10g, making BTM Scanner assuming a gain of 490g.
    How can I avoid this?

Thanks a lot for all your help!

Not 100% sure on the filter question with the toggles (hooks) that you are reffering to (I dont use the filters at all other than outlier) so I will allow someone else to answer that...

To avoid the 500g bread theres a few things you can do, first off if that data is already 'tainted' on your end then a good first thing to do is a /auc (or /aadv) clear [item link] to remove the existing data for that item that you have.

The next thing to do would be set up the outlier filter to the highest % above the existing markets price you would want to include into your statistics. I generally set mine around 175-200 (IIRC)

The problem with how the outlier filter works is it still requires something to go off of, so if all of the initial data gathered regaurding the item is already tainted then its difficult to get outlier to know its incorrect. The best solution for these cases is to do one of two things (or both)

    1) Ignore the item itself in the BTM prompt for the appraiser (or resell) evaluators.

    and/or

    2) set a 'fixed price' in appraiser for that item. Thanks to Mikk you do not need to actually have the item in your inventory anymore to get it to load into appraiser to be able to tweak these settings. There is now an option in appraiser settings to allow alt clicking of items to load them into the appraiser tab. I would suggest opening the appraiser tab, alt clicking an item link from somewhere (or from the BTM prompt itself) then adjusting to the proper price via a 'fixed price'.

I favor using option 2 myself. I don't like have incorrect pricing data in my stats and I don't like to 'ignore' anything for any reason... I personally prefer the stats I have to be correct vs requiring me to ignore a bunch of items or whatever. FAIK there is no sure fire way other than setting the fixed price to prevent possible tainted data and IMHO is the way it should be done.

    Hi testleK

Thanks a lot for your detailed help.

The problem with 1) and also with the wool cloth is, that it is ignored only for the actual session
and not forever *and* only after the first offer being denied.
What I do myself is set up an AutoClicker on the position where the "BUY" button appears
and let the whole thing run for itself (ok, not fair, but I often was a victim of con men and this
    is my revenge).

The 2) looks very promising and I'll give it a try. I haven't dealt with Appraiser so far and this
    will be a new experience.

What I missed 'til now is an option to directly say "Ignore <item name>/<item id> forever" and
let other items of the same cathegory pass through.

#1 violates the blizzard terms of service, and we will absolutely not support its use here on this site.

We fight against a perpetual myth that using auctioneer is against the terms of service. I am going to close this thread to make the distinction between the two completely clear.

If you continue to have questions about things we can support, please post them in a new thread.
