I don't know if this has been discussed but I think it would be a great feature if you can add it.. It would be nice that every time a guild member goes to the AH and scans or just searches for something.. every guild member's (party) auctioneer info is updated... also, when a player comes online it scans the guild for any updated info about AH ... and if it finds a newer info, it would automatically update the user's info... There should also be an option somewhere to turn the feature on or off... What do u think?
This has been discussed in great length actually, this will also never happen. Theres just simply to much data that would be sent back and fourth via the addon channel and blizzard would probably get angry at the massive amount of data we, as a norganna addon using community, would create.
could we then have maybe something like the askprice thing..to update singular rarely seen items.
say i have never seen [uber epic doomsayer staff of pwnage] but some of my guildmembers have...
could we have it so my auctioneer updates it's data for this item only based on the data gatherered from those top X guild members...if i submit a "#?[uber epic doomsayer staff of pwnage]" to guild chat?
My first post here :) My thought on a sync feature was a bit different. Would it be possible, (or is it already?) to sync all the auctioneer data on a few PCs? So that I could, for instance, copy all my Auctioneer data from one PC and bring it to another and somehow... fuse it? Because I play WoW on a few PCs depending where I am, I have scanned the AH for around a month (1-2 per day) but on different PCs, giving me poor statistics on each PC, despite all the effort :P
currently there is no method to join databases automatically... the best thing to do would be to use the same wtf files for all pcs you play on (although that might be difficult I can understand that)
so there IS a way to copy my Auctioneer data from one pc to another! That's something at least :) I guess I could just take the data from the PC that had most AH scans and use it on the others. The question now is: Which files do I need to transfer?
All of your settings are stored in the WTF folder of your WoW directory. Copying this folder over will transfer your settings as well as your Auctioneer data. Specifically, if you only want Auctioneer data to be saved, then you want to isolate the Auctioneer .lua files in those folders (which should be aptly named) and transfer those over. The easiest thing to do, obviously, is just to copy the entire WTF folder to your new computer.
