Support::Auctioneer: auctioneer doesn't work

    I downloaded the latest auctioneer advanced, and nothing happens at all in the game; same as without the program. There are no scan options, no information; nothing.

    Hi there SSearby,

    When that happens, it means that there was some issue with the installation.

    The best, most detailed installation instructions can be found at Wiki.Norganna.Org/Installing .

    As described in those directions, for the first few times, you should download your chosen suite to a folder on the desktop, uncompress the folders within, and then manually place the 16, AuctioneerAdvanced Suite or 17, Full Suite, unzipped folders into the ..\WorldofWarcraft\Interface\AddOns folder.

    So that means upon successful install, you should see all 16 or 17 Auctioneer-related folders in the Addons directory.

    Once you verify that, go ahead and start WoW. When you reach the Character Selection Screen, there should be an "Addons" button in the lower left of the screen- if there is not, then you made some sort of error unzipping or placing the folders, go back and begin once more. If the button is there, click it and ensure that there are Gold check marks in the Auctioneer-related AddOns check boxes. While there also click the "Load Out of Date AddOns" checkbox to make things a bit easier when future game patches are released.

    Now that you have the 16 or 17 check marks, go ahead and select your character and finish logging in. When you reach the Auction House and click on an auctioneer, you should now see a few extra tabs along the bottom of the AH window. Chief amongst them is the Appraiser tab where you will go to post your Auctions. The only utility that is uses while at the AH that does not have a tab as of yet is the SearchUI. To open the SearchUI, locate the magnifying glass icon on the SlideBar Menu, installed by default just below the Minimap along the right side of the screen.

    You can configure all of the Auctioneer-related AddOns while at the AH or away. Simply click on the Configure button in the upper right of the Appraiser frame while at the AH or the "Coin Stack" icon on the SlideBar Menu when anywhere in-game.
