    I have not heard of any issues with Auctioneer and the current patch. Which part of auctioneer are you having a problem with millertodd?

    Mine is with Auc Advanced... It seems to be either not storing or not updating the way it did yesterday. In short, when checking on appraiser for disenchant mats, it's saying my results are a day old, after getting everything in the single chunk. If I manually tell it to refresh, it does, but I haven't run into that before. I do run a strange mix of this and that as far as the versions go, so it might just be me.

    When you say that you run "a strange mix of this and that as far as the version go"- what exactly does that mean?

    In game, if you enter /run foo () that will cause an error that should include a full list of addons and versions.

    Please copy the "error", paste the output into a blank form at http://Norganna.Pastey.Net , and then include the assigned link in a new post.

    The reason we need this is that there are some version combinations that simply will not work and others that cause issues.

    Edit: As for the original post, there should be no issues with Auctioneer Classic or Advanced that stem strictly from the recent patch. As Kandoko says, we really need to know what you are seeing/not seeing.

    Mine just stopped working also tonight. I don't have ANY data that I was scanning for the last few months even though I can see it in the WTF folder. I deleted all of my add ons except Auctioneer and still doesn't work.
    I noticed a warning "overwriting auctioneer scan data with auctioneer advanced simple scan data". I have the folder backed up (WTF) and I've tried copying it over but I still have no data. Everything says "never seen at auction" or "no data in image" ( something like that)

    Sorry it was my fault, I was using !ImprovedErrorFrame and not swatter, and it was the cause of my error.

    yukonbob: what operating system do you use?
    If Vista, try moving your entire WoW folder out of c:\Program Files\. Vista prevents programs from editing that folder, causing some issues with addons.

    I am having issues as well since the patch yesterday. Everytime I search an item, the processing bar/updating bar will fill up as it was updating, and stay on the screen. The blue information that comes up with results etc still shows, but i get a nil line 72 error or something with it. This just started after the patch last night. I cannot elaborate anymore on the error due to me not being at home, but it was kinda starting to get annoying since I would have to /console reloadui to get rid of the bar.

    I will let you know the full error when I get home. However, the error message was within the chat window, sort of like the messages you get logging in. Don't know if that helps, but swatter isn't picking up the error.

    Yeah I use Vista. I will try that as soon as I re-install the entire game again and all my add-ons. I hate patch days!

    Adam: you most likely have another bugcatcher that is blocking swatter. Please disable ImprovedErrorFrame/BugSack/etc to let Swatter see the error

    Im 99% sure I don't have another bug catcher since I get swatter errors all the time ie CT Mailmod.

    Just got home and the issue has seemed to disappear. No mods updated since either. Maybe it was a Blizz issue.

    I run the preview version, with a few newer versions of some of the modules (I know I know. But I kill for new and neat functionality, and it's probably where my issues are coming from) Going to try it out here in a minute and then probably decide I need to stop straddling one side of the fence or the other and download the dev version or just stick with the preview.

    Electrocuted: you really need to either run completely the build, or completely the dev version, unless one of us specifically asks you to replace a file. A lot of the changes to the dev version rely on previous changes to other parts of the addon.

    I use the Advanced Suite Preview as it comes in the full suite zip with no changes. I have the screenshot of the reported error but i don't know how to include it here. Please help. I went to the Pasty site and I don't see how to upload the image there either.... sorry to be such a dunce.

    It may be worth noting that I the Addons I use have been working together without any errors until the load of the 2.4.3 patch. I have only had to turn off NotesUNeed to isolate problem(s) after 2.4.3, but so far AucAdvanced Suite is the only other error I am seeing though I am not saying that it isn't caused by other interactions. I'm happy to do whatever to help isolate this, just let me know. Auc is a bread and butter Addon and I can't afford to have it down long. :(

    namuh, please do an "/swat clear", then log out and back in. then do "/swat show" and click the previous button until you get back to the first error, and upload it to pastey for us.

    paddy: AC or AA? If AC, please read the FAQ. If AA, it's hard to believe all your stats would all disappear at the same time.

    I will do that late this afternoon when I get home from work. If you have any other conditions you would like fulfilled, you have until 3pm Eastern time to let me know. And, btw, perhaps I should have posted that after the error dialog is cleared the listing of the items in the left hand Appraiser panel reappears but works erratically as in you will click on an entry and the highlighting will sometimes jump to a completely different entry than the one clicked.

    So? I don't understand. I followed dinesh's directions to the letter. They only said 'click the previous button until you get back to the first error'. I posted the first error in the list.

    Sorry to but in, but heres the error i'm experiencing since the patch, the appraiser tab will com up but the items won't appear and nothing in that tab works. Everything else seems to be fine.

    namuh: He meant the first error that session that was auctioneer-related.

    Lucky: Please add this to JIRA. It's been reported on the forums before, but that user didn't add it to JIRA, so it's slipped our attention. Also, in the future, please don't coopt a thread for a different error.

    Based on the revised instructions, here is the paste of the error. It is the only error relating to Auctioneer/Appraiser. The 2 errors logged before it are the same ones from before relating to a problem with Cartographer and a bad library. The error that Lucky is reporting is the SAME one I am reporting.. so I'll stop reporting it. Could someone please tell me what JIRA is and I will learn to use it too. I'm pretty much of a Noobie at Warcraft but I'm a professional programmer with 35 years experience in coding and devel having worked on the original Unix source code and I can probably help you/contribute if you point me in the right direction but I'm not likely to read every single blathering forum post to eke out an ounce of information. Not because they aren't interesting, but because I simply don't have the time.

    I did not take time to look at the details of this error since without some internals information it doesn't mean much to me but it appears to be the same error that i posted before and, in fact, the same error that occurs every time. It appears to be an initialization error and if it is, I find that they occur with high frequency following one of Blizzard's updates. Normally I'd let someone else deal with it, but I like Auctioneer and the Suite quite a lot and would consider being more involved with it.

    jira is our bug tracking system. people can go there and create an issue so that we have something to go back and look at when it is time for us(actually the devs) to bug hunt. so we know what issues are popping up the most. users can also use it to post improvements/features that they would like to see added to the auctioneer addon.

    New issue with this. The posted error dialog appears after clicking in the left hand column to get the Items display back following the initial error on entering the Appraiser Tab. No items are accessible after this error appears and is cleared

    Hmmm maybe I owe an apology too. I also thought from the title of the Thread that this was for new issues arising from the 2.4.3 patch. If I should move to another or new thread please advise. I've posted the 2 errors I'm experiencing but they are clearly not what the first poster to actually described a bug related. I guess I was also drawn in by the fact that millertodd, who posted the first entry of this thread, simply indicated that Auctioneer was not working properly after the 2.4.3 patch.

    No worries about the posts- but, as you can clearly see, who is responding to who and what issue quickly becomes muddled. That is why we ask that, the rare times you run into an issue, you kindly run through the following steps:

    * Come here with the full text of the first error seemingly linked to Auctioneer ( http://Forums.Norganna.Org/4/ )
    * Perform a quick search based upon that error text ( http://Forums.Norganna.Org/Search/ linked above)
    ** Ensure that you search both the thread titles and the comments
    * If no matches, try to see if any current posters have experiences matching your own
    ** Only post in a thread if your issue is, at least nearly, identical or you know of how to help the person
    * If you have found no matches to this point, begin a new thread clearly stating your issue in the title and including the full error text, including the addons list, in the comments

    For instance, Namah, who had Swatter warn of http://norganna.pastey.net/91456 would search for AprSettings.lua 71 and, if not results, would then try to match their actual experience, i.e "oh no, my whole screen goes black when I search in IF", to the most recent posts.
    If they do not find any exact, or close matches, then they will start a new discussion thread here, under Support:Auctioneer

    Namah- Please start a new thread, with a title of "AprSettings.lua line 71 error" and a quick example of what is happening i.e "Appraiser not filling in prices when posting"
    Include your Pastey link, http://norganna.pastey.net/91456 in the comments, along with any other information you think may be helpful.

    PaddyF- Not sure if any of the responses helped you, so, again, please start a new thread.
    Lucky- Appears you have been directed to JIRA, our issue tracking system, so that issue will be addressed as soon as someone has time to do so
    Electrocuted- As RockSlice suggests, you really need to run the most current version of both Auctioneer Classic and Advanced- and, or, the pieces of each, to avoid problems.
