For some odd reason I cant get disenchanter to bring anything up. I am using auctioneer advanced the newest version. My banker is not the disenchanter so I have insured that "Use custom levels" is checked. Its at 0-375. I have gone as far to put my minimum discount to 1% and minimum profit at 1 copper. No matter what I do i cannot seem to get anything to come up for disenchanting. Resale works fine. I dont know if I have to use appraiser or something cause ive never used it, always used resale.

    Thanks guys

Can you try browsing manually to an auction that you think the disenchant evaluator should pick up, and take a screenshot showing the tooltip when you have Shift pressed? (You can use up.norganna.org to host it)

I think you're misunderstanding the discount percentage. Set it to something like 50%. At 1%, it would never hit.

i normally set my stuff to 50% discount and 1c profit. the adjust. i thought that if you set it to 1% it would find deals that are even posted at 99% of the disenchant value. so it should find pretty much anything that you can a copper off of. maybe i am thinking about it wrong as well but that is the way i always thought it worked. same with appraiser. if i want to find pretty much anything i set everything to 1% and 1c profit. i thought the higher you set the % discount the pickier it got when choosing a good deal. if im wrong please explain.

Err, maybe I'm being dense, but I am with matt. A setting of 1% should make lots of things hit, not none of them. (Not that I advocate it - mine is set to 30% and 4g minimums.)

Well I would love to do the screenshot thing. But since I cant see what something disenchants into, Then I have no way of telling weather or not it would be worth it or not. Though when I think about it, 1 strange dust only sells for like 4 silver.....that would mean a low level item would have to be like 3 silver or less in order for it to be worth disenchanting. Now that I think about it, How is anything worth disenchanting? Also yea, ive tried 50% and all that. If its set at a minimum discount of 1% that means it will pick up anything thats 99% market price or less. Also another quick question, Why can I sometimes see the "Last bought for resale" and sometimes I cant. I understand that if I buy a stack of 5 wool and then another stack of 5 wool, they turn into a 10 stack it wont show me the last bought for resale thing. But on items like three of portals and such that dont stack it still doesnt show me. And yes I bought them from the AH not from people.

you have to have bought them using BTM or the AA SearchUI to get the tooltip.

how is anything worth disenchanting? well, LPS's on my server go for about 20g or so. I can sometimes find items that d/e into LPSs on the AH for 2g. That's an 18g profit, easily meeting my threshold. Similar for items that turn into GPEs and ADs.

The discount setting is kinda backwards (the way Norgs thinks).
100% discount = market price, 50% discount = half market price, 1% discount = 1% of market price (aka a massive bargin).

ITNinja - if you have enchantrix running, you can see what something disenchants into.
If you don't have enchantrix enabled, you won't get any disenchant values, and the disenchant evaluator can't work.
I'm guessing you don't have enchantrix installed or enabled.

ccox: You're thinking the PCT column on the CompactUI. For the min discount, 1% means an item at 99% of marketprice

ccox, I believe that was the problem. I never even touched enchantrix. I will give it a shot over the next couple days (As I imagine it takes a few days to build a database for BTM scanner to run off of) and get back to you guys. Thanks much,

P.S. dinesh, thanks for the headsup on the tooltip also.

P.P.S thanks everyone else for commenting in general. Love that I always get help when I need it here.

Enchantrix doesn't have a database - it relies on the auctioneer database of prices.
The disenchant predictions are hard coded tables that then use the auctioneer prices.
And yes, everything relies on enchantrix for disenchant values.

So, it should be usable immediately.
