Whenever I have auctioneer loaded up, and I hover over an item, my whole computer freezes up. I disabled all other addons and it still does it. I downloaded the latest release of Auctioneer (5.0.PRE.3471) from this site and the problem still exists.

Is it a temporary freeze or a permanent freeze? (Have you waited 5 minutes to see if it unlocks?)

Is it any item, or is it confined to only one, or one type?

It's a permanent freeze, and it doesn't matter what item it is, they all freeze completely.

That's at least 2 reports similar to this.

I'm starting to think we've tickled a Blizzard bug (that also involves something at the driver level making it so that you can't bring up the task manager correctly).

I've been experiencing these freezes for a couple of weeks now also. Renamed folders & created empty folders didn't help. Game locks up tight and have to crash box to get it running again. It's made scanning the AH impossible.

do you have any other addons enabled? if so please disable the other addons and try with JUST auctioneer addons running to eliminate the possibility of conflict form other addons.

also when exactly is it freezing? do you use advanced or classic? try turning down the priority of the processing see if that helps a bit for the freezing. is it actually freezing or maybe just pausing? there is a delay when auctioneer processes the information from the scanning.

Gabby: In addition to matt's questions above:

If you're using Auc Advanced, are you doing a conventional scan (clicking the "Play" button) or a getall?

Almost every time I "Scan" the AH, my computer disconnects me from the game after the Scan has completed. That is very irritating. I'm a novice at configuring the intricasies of Auctioneer and I've not yet seen a (variety of) simple step-by-step procedures which will result in different 'outputs.'

I've been trying to stop BTM from asking me if I want to BID on items. I want BTM to offer me items listed as "Buyout" ONLY (and, only if they could result in overall profit of 1 gold or more upon my resale of that/those items)!

Also, make sure you don't have the ScanFinish module set to log you out after scanning.

Kreelor, if you're running AucClassic, it's likely that you're being logged out because of the huge processing spike at the end, which can cause a client-server communications drop on slower machines.

AucClassic is not being updated for WoW 3.0 in any case, so if you are using AucClassic, we highly recommend you switch to AucAdvanced.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll use each of them. To "RockSlice": I am using Auctioneer 5.0 (which supposedly doesn't have AucClassic within it).

I am now using 5.1 and that error stopped. However, I have many other errors happening often. I'll wait until your next fix instead of posting all of them to you. I imagine that I'm not the only one with those same errors, so I assume they will be addressed. Thank you for your help!

We aren't currently aware of any errors that are being caused by any of our addons with the latest build, so please post any errors you think are related to Auc-Advanced and its related addons.
