This is a sad day for me, hearing this. I love Auctioneer Classic mainly because it is light weight. The problem with Auctioneer Advanced for me is that it is to heavy of a program. I don't have the best computer in the world and I don't want to hear people burn me because "I should just upgrade my computer then." I know. I wish I could, but i have to use what I have available to me and what I can afford, and I think there are a lot of other people in the same boat.

One of the major problems I have (and if someone can help me fix this that would be great) is that when done scanning the AH, or even opening the AH, Auctioneer Advanced doesn't disengage once I am done using it, sucking precious RAM that I need to play the game. I just sits there running in the background slowing my computer down. It is one of the heaviest addons I have ever seen (but worth it to use) but wish it would close when I am not using it.The only way I can get it to stop again is to log out and log back in. I hate it. Hopefully someone can help me fix this or the Auctioneer team can see that Auctioneer Classic is as much needed as Auctioneer Advanced.

no addon can "close" when it's done being used unfortunately, including AC. once loaded into memory, all addons stay loaded in memory until the next UI reload. an addon can release memory being used temporarily, but the majority of AA memory is dedicated to storing price and statistics data which is not temporary and must remain in memory. Again, AC behaves in exactly the same way.

Please stop asking for AC to be maintained. This is addressed in our announcement posts and FAQs on the support forum. If I see a lot of this sort of thing, I will start just closing or deleting threads that ask for it with extreme prejudice.

    Thanks.

You can cut down on the memory use and processing of AucAdv by removing some of the stat modules.

However, you'll be sacrificing price reliability.
