    Hey everyone,

    My question is related to where auctioneer is pulling certain prices from. I used to struggle with this concept back when auctioneer was in its infancy, and now its all modular I am really confused.

    Example: A helm is available for 5g that the searchui says I can D/E for 10g.
    My question is... how does search UI decide it is worth 10g given that in different modules of auc it could be worth different amounts. I could have set a fixed mat price in enchantrix for some of the enchant mats... I could have set a fixed auction price in the appraiser tab... Appraiser has its own market value... there is my average buyout and sales prices from beancounter... and if im using beancounters undercut, that has its own opinion too.

    I suppose ideally I would like searchui to be making up its mind based on what appraiser will tell me I should be putting the item/mats up for, but is there some way I can see where these prices are coming from? What I'm worried about is somthing like searchui telling me I can d/e somthing for x amount of gold, when in actual fact beancounter undercut has lowered the prices of some mats due to repeat failed auctions.

    Sorry; i know I'm not putting this very well, maybe im making it more confusing than it is! But if someone can decypher what I'm asking, I'd love some help!

    As I said in a previous post; I love the direction auctioneer is headed. Devs: dont let all the negative comments get you down. People: We are playing an online rpg which is repeatedly patched and constantly changing. You can't expect addons to stay the same forever when the game itself is constantly changing. Just like you have to suck it up and learn to change your playing style when blizz changes your talent tree or changes api functionality, you need to do that with addons too!

    edit: also a big hand for the devs who are working on auctioneer at the moment. I remember back in classic WoW when there was a patch, sometimes there wouldnt be a stable release version of auctioneer for ages. You've done a stellar job to have a release version out this fast - and it even works with the new profession!

    in regards to the DE info. enchantrix pulls its info from the scan data i believe and finds the price for each of the potential mats and takes the % chance and adds that amount to the "final" cost of the item for the DE value. if it DE into dream dust ,small prismatic shard, and void crystal (just a example) and the dust is 75% the shard is 15% and the void crystal is 10% it takes the value of each item divides that by that % and adds that amount to the total value of the DE cost.

    you can have enchantrix base its decision off of appraiser which i believe should use your adjusted prices. by default i think it uses average.

    Enchantrix has a setting that tells it where to get it's value from. I recommend setting this to "Appraiser". It will then use the appraiser price for each d/e reagent, each of which you can set individually (void crystals might be a fixed price, everything else might be purchased price, etc.) by changing each item's appraiser settings.

    Enx also has it's own fixed price section, where you can override the "appraiser" (or whatever enx setting you picked) price just for the disenchanting calculations, if you'd like.

    Furthermore, Enc also has a "weighting" section. This allows you to weight the value of each reagent (temporarily, most likely). So if you needed to stock up on LBS's, but already had too many Arcane Dusts in stock, you would tune up the weight for LBS, and tune down the weight for AD, and the disenchant predictors would start to suggest more items that give the former and less that give the latter.
