So after the 1.9 patch was installed, I went to scan the AH. After I was done, I noticed that items that I have seen numerous times on the AH before, and that I've scanned before, we're appearing in the tooltip that I've only seen them on the AH once.

So I'm wondering, what happened to my previous data? It seems to have just disappeared. I have not gone to any of the neutral faction AHs. I've stayed in the IF AH the entire time, so I don't think thats the problem. I'm lost.

It would appear that with the new patch they moved the SavedVariables to a per server setup. To fix this just copy your savedvariables data from the original folder in your WTF folder to the new ones which will be in the same location but now split per server.

So, formerly you'd have your Savedvariables in X:\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Accountname\Savedvariables

Now it will be in X:\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Accountname\Servername\Charname\Savedvariables

    That should fix it.

Hmm, so that means either moving the data manually after every scan, or having each character have to scan the auctionhouse.

I wonder if making a shortcut from the original data to each characters folder would work? If this was unix I bet a symlink would do it, but I'm not sure shortcuts in Windows work quite the same way....

    Guys,

This is not correct, I did not change my directory structure and everything is still ok !!!

I think that if you have savedvariables folder at the top directory it will automatically count for all servers and chars.

I still have it here :

    C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\REALCYBERGHOST\SavedVariables

And I got all my old data after installing the patch.

I noticed a new server folder as well, but that is for server and server+character specific information imho.

It is possible indeed that there is some character/server specific info is missing, one of those is the addon settings ( wether to load out of date addons and stuff ) I think.

Anyway I hope I helped clarify these issues more

Well, 1st thing you should do is make a backup of your Interface ( this is where all your addons are ) and WTF folders ( this is where your data from the addons is )

    WTF folder :
    C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\

    Interface Folder :
    C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\

Now somewhere in your savedvariables folder under the WTF folder is your auctioneer data.

I concur - I got my Auctioneer back by selecting the run Out of Date Add-Ons switch in the add-on module found on the character selection screen. Data was all there, didn't have to copy directories or anything. Found a small wrinkle with overlapping tooltips, but that's being massaged in other threads.

Which AH did you scan as Auctioneer distinguishes between the neutral AH and the fraction-specific one. I noticed the same issue after scanning Everlook AH, but as soon as I scanned back in OG (one page scanning is enough) I had all my data recovered.
So it seems to be a feature, not a bug. Depends on which is your last scanned AH then.
