Hi, first of all thanks to everyone working on these add-ons (I can't imagine using one without the others :-). All of them have contributed to make my WoW experience a lot more enjoyable.

I'm using the latest beta and I like the two new tabs. I used them all the time. I have some suggestions and comments (you probably guessed that part :-).

1- Can the Auctioneer and Enchantrix information be displayed in the Informant pop-up?

The Informant pop-up that we can bind to a key is great and I see there is a lot of space there to add stuff. Right now though, only the Informant part is displayed. Are there any plans to have the Auctioneer and Enchantrix information there as well? That would would allow us to minimize the display that is there all the time and press the hot key when we need the full story.

2- Tooltip in Search Auction is to far to the right

When there is a stack, the prices are not visible. I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

3- In Post Auction, add the number of time each type of auction was fond.

It actually took me a bit of time to realise that the Post Auction search result only displayed one of each type. At first I thought it was missing stuff. There is a big difference when pricing your stuff between one little undercutting auction and 20 of said auction.

4- Bind a key to copy the link or name from the tooltip

When the tooltip is displayed, the link and name information is already there. I figure it would be trivial for you guys to create bindable keys that would act as a Copy function. After that, we paste in a chat, in any of the auction search box, in a mail, in a spread-sheet, etc. The tooltip is (nearly) always displayed when the mouse goes over an item anywhere on screen. No need to implement Shift-click for everything, just press the bind button and then the user can paste it wherever he likes.

5- The tooltip doesn't appear when hovering in a mail message

The one place that I found where the tooltip is not displayed is in the mail messages, both on the page with all the mail and when we open a particular message with an attached item. In both cases, the normal plain tooltip is displayed. I would very mush like to see the enhance tooltip because I often leave the thing in mail for days and I guess it would also be useful for one last check before paying the COD price.

    6- QuestItem functionality

Informant list the items that are used in quests. This is interesting to gauge the prise in AH but for normal game play, it's not that great. There used to be an add-on that called QuestItem that displayed the quest that a item is used for and if the quest was active. I'm always on edge when I want to sell my useless stuff to a merchant because I fear I'll get rid of a quest item by accident. Also, sometime I know it's a quest item but I don't remember which quest.

Well, that about it. Again, very nice group of add-ons and thanks to everyone working on it.

I can address a few of these:

Yep, I know about this issue, but I don't think its it Trac yet. Feel free to submit a ticket so that I remember to look at it.

This is an annoying result of the way Auctioneer currently saves the snapshot data. It can't distinguish between multiple auctions with the same starting bid and buyout. I'd like to change the way Auctioneer stores the snapshot, but that would be a pretty big change. The alternative would be to pull the data directly from the Browse tab. The downside here is that there can be a delay in getting the data, especially when there are multiple pages.

In short, I'd like to fix the problem, but I'm not sure how I'll do it yet.

Thanks for the quick answer Vindicator.

    The ticket is open (#426)

For no 3, I thought post auction searched the active auctions, not the snapshot... My (probably feeble) understanding was that post auction was useful to check the market before posting and was using live data and not old data. If it use the snapshot, its usefulness is diminished.

    Just wondering.

Its currently using the snapshot because that data can be obtained lightning fast. Pulling the live data takes a few seconds for the first page, and 5+ seconds for each subsequent page. That, plus the fact its a lot more code, means that I'm not doing it that way. At least not yet...

What I would really like to see is the ability to update the snapshot for a specific item. That coupled with including every instance of an auction in the snapshot would mean the best of both worlds. Therefore when you first put an item on the Post Auctions tab, it shows the stale snapshot data. But in the background, Auctioneer is updating the snapshot for that specific item. Once updated, the updated data would be reflected on the Post Auctions frame. I'll ponder on this some more...

I understand now and your idea sound way cool :-).

    I'm looking forward to it.

Now, is anybody going to comment on the other items?

I fixed problem #2 on my notebook by scaling the interface down (Interface Options). A kluge, yes, but it fixed the problem while in the AH.
