I wonder if something similar was possible for auctioneer? It would completely bypass the current problems with scanning on highly populated auction houses.

Since I am not a programmer myself I can't make it, but if anybody is interested Sapu does provide sources for his application in the linked post.]]>

Auctioneer Resale search is awsome, however I find myself switching between the price valuation methods and checking if the same item is there. I would like to develop an addon to Auctioneer which holds MY price valuation rules, some of which would be based on the existing price valuation values and some logic on using them. I have been unable to find anything like this out there, so will develop it myself.

My question is "Is there a guide to developing price valuation methods, and accessing the result of an existing price valuation method?"

Kind Regards,

Feature Request: Automagic Mail Loader http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/12855/feature-request-automagic-mail-loader Thu, 04 Aug 2011 10:36:07 +0000 Chronius 12855@/index.php?p=/discussions
Running around and questing, doing dungeons, and causing general mayhem, looting and pillaging, I have found good need for the Automagic Mail loader.
But, I would like to add a few feature requests to this application:

- Create more groups - Ore and Stones - Leather & Hides & Scales -
- Add pearls to the gem group.
- Add group with food ingredients from which you cannot skill, with option to add the ones you skill from (Meats, fishes etc.)
- Option to put in an optional standard name for each group - i.e. Gems to "insert-name-here" - which will autoinsert name in the "To" field at button press.

More advanced features could be:
- Option to create and name your own groups, and add items to it, like you would to the Automagic Sell list
(In dungeons and general low level questing on alts, I seem to get alot of blasting powers and such. Would be nice to be able to quickly send all to my Engineer..)
- Ability to save/load/copy these lists to other characters - so they all send to the same person.

Not sure if items such as Elemental Waters, Elemental fire, and similar enchanting items are under the "Chant Mats"..

Anyways, thanks for a great addition to the Auctioneer pack.

I love the AutoMagic feature, it made me earn so much time (gray trash selling, auto selling greens and blues while farming all day the same instance with a non-enchanter character, etc.), BUT : I have a few items, let's say less than 15 on my whole account, that I keep either for RP purpose, or for gathering (like gray gloves with gathering bonus lvl enchant), or gray boots with movement speed enchant that have the suited look for an alt, and so on)

And I lost those items countless times, because I forgot to buy them back after auto-selling my junks after a farming session. A few of them are specific items with low droprate, I hate when I have to go and farm it again because I forgot to buy it back. Needless to say : even if I generally remember to buy those items back, it's annoying to do it every time.

So, it would be really appreciated to be able to have a white list for those gray items, just the same way we have an auto-sell list for white items (or above quality), to prevent AutoMagic from selling those precious items and still being able to keep the "auto-sell junks" option activated. That would make my day. My week. My Year !

Sorry for my approximative english : I'm not native :P

Appraiser - Batch Posting Full Stacks vs. All http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/13018/appraiser-batch-posting-full-stacks-vs.-all Wed, 21 Dec 2011 05:19:54 +0000 Ceyhil 13018@/index.php?p=/discussions
Not sure if this is the ideal section of the forums to be posting this request / suggestion but here goes..

I make good use of posting my auctions with the Appraiser function of Auctioneer. I have mine set to post ALL items, so that if need be I can just hit the Batch Post button and up they all go. This is fine, however .. over time I end up with many short stacks.. For example ... I may have 10 stacks of 20 Strange Dust and 1 stack of 4 Strange Dust and 1 stack of 16 Strange Dust all posted on the AH at the same time. Along with this I have just purchased for resale another 1 stack of 5 Strange Dust that I do not Want to immediately repost because I prefer to hang on to it until the short stacks already posted, expire, at which time I can combine the shortstacks ... etc..

The appraiser function allows you to option to use the slider to set itself to post FULL stacks only, or ALL. The downfall I see is that you have to change this slider for every single item .. and... am wondering.. is there some way you could simply add another ctrl+shift/whatever function to the "Batch Post" button, to simply post FULL Stacks for now rather than having to use the slider... This way the slider could be left at whatever people prefer their default Batch Post method to be for each item ... but in my case it would also mean that when my 400 odd auctions expire, i can quickly repost full stacks from my bags, having it ignore the shortstacks until i've collected all my expired auctions and know i have all my short stacks together so to speak ...

Hope I'm making some sense... any chance this change would be straight forward? Could it be included in yoru next release?

Just FYI, for those who have not checked... the GathererDB_Wowhead is available for 4.x exclusively from http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11707-GathererDBWoWHead.html .

The data for the Old/new world is still sparse, but there is a bit there. We do anticipate updating it every few weeks, as we have time and when the data becomes available.

Please remember to run the Wowhead Updater, so that we can accumulate more data, for this, Enchantrix, and Informant. The Wowhead client, which is available for both MS Windows and OSX, can be found at http://www.wowhead.com/?client .

Happy Gatherering,

By any chance, do you know the name of the LEFT PANEL section? I'm trying to click the first item on the list. I was looking at the .lua and i thought it might be
AucAdvAppraiserFrame.frame.imageview.sheet , but i think that is the right panel.

Is there a command to select the first item to auction similar to how salebox.icon:click() works. I'm thinking it is
/run AucAdvAppraiserFrame.itembox:Click()

Do i need to specify if its itembox[1] in the first array or will it auto select it with a simple click().]]>

Is there an already-existing clean way to query this info from inside a sub-module, or is there a way to receive an event of some kind that my module can parse when a full scan is freshly completed? (I'll be happy to track the times myself in the latter case.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance!

Prof-It http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11482/prof-it Thu, 31 Dec 2009 01:16:32 +0000 kdtresh 11482@/index.php?p=/discussions
Prof-It (2010.4.6)

It should open whenever you open a tradeskill window. It has two modes: level and money.

Level mode will scan your tradeskill window and give you a list, sorted by reagent cost, ignoring gray recipes. It will suggest the cheapest orange recipe, and if no orange recipes are available, it will suggest cheapest yellow, then green. You have the option to hide green and/or yellow recipes from the list. If two recipes have the same reagent cost, it will order them based on highest value of the end product (scroll of... for enchanting).

Money mode has a slider that lets you [hopefully] find a balance between ROI and profit. Since an item can have high ROI and very low actual profit (10c mats, 1g sale price), or it can have very high profit, but massive material cost (like a chopper), on their own they are not always useful, so hopefully there's a "sweet spot" that sorts them the best. I don't take AH listing fees or cuts into account, but I do check to see if an item is sold by a vendor (unlimited) and use the vendor price instead of the [oft-inflated] market price. I also don't store any of the settings in a savedvariable [yet], so they revert to defaults the first time you open it in a session: market pricing, level mode (unless you're capped) and 50/50 ROI/Profit if you switch to money mode.

There's a drop box that lets you choose the stat-simple algorithm for pricing: market, 14-day, 7-day, etc., and there's a checkbox to use auctioneer data that is on by default. Unchecking the box will revert to the original mode, just reading from the static data that suggest a recipe based on your skill level, regardless of whether or not you know it or how much it costs.

There is also a "fix!" checkbox that is on by default. The recipe list is shown in a fauxscrollframe, and unfortunately, whenever the list is >10 items (the frame is 10 lines high) the tooltips die when the frame is closed and reopened. Limiting the list to 10 items keeps the tooltips up all the time, but it does limit the list to 10 items. If you uncheck "fix!" and click "recalculate" you will get the entire list, in a scrollable frame with tooltips. If you then close the frame (without re-checking "fix!") and open it again, the scroll still works, but the tooltips are toast. Re-checking the "fix!" box and clicking "recalculate" will return the list to 10 items and bring back the tooltips.

If one or more reagents are not in your local cache, like after a server reboot, a "missed" button should appear in the lower left. Clicking it will open another frame with a list of all the recipes with uncached reagents. I haven't found a way to automatically pull them down into the cache, so you have to manually search for them and click them in your tradeskill window.

This is pretty much my first crack at writing an addon from scratch, and while it's not at all polished (I'm learning as I go) and still needs a lot of work, it seems to be fairly functional.

I welcome any and all comments, criticism, or suggestions. Thanks!]]>

So, given productName is a name from the BeanCounter database, how do I query the current market value for it?

productName = "Scroll of Enchant Chest - Super Stats"
img = AucAdvanced.API.QueryImage({name = productName})
print(img)
unpacked = AucAdvanced.API.UnpackImageItem(img)
print(unpacked)
print(AucAdvanced.API.GetAlgorithmValue("Simple", unpacked.link))

I get "attempt to concatenate a nil value" from the last line (I've tried passing the index within GetAlgorithms() instead of the name to GAV... But that just returns nothing) even for an item I currently have up for auction with the auction window up.

So how do I get from the name to a value GetAlgorithmValue can use?]]>

Total money spent on buys
- Total money spent on buying the item in auctions. Tracked by BeanCounter

Total items bought
- Total no. of items bought through auctions. Tracked by BeanCounter

Total money gained from sales
- Total revenue from sales through auctions(after AH cut). Tracked by BeanCounter

Total items sold
- Total no. of items sold through auctions. Tracked by BeanCounter

Overall profit
- Total money gained from sales(See above) minus Total money spent on buys(See above)

Profit per item
- Average profit per item. OVerall profit(See above) divided by Total items sold (See above)

Current stock
- If the toon is a pure flipper then the current stock would be equal to: Total items bought minus Total items sold, but a count of items in bags would probably make more sense. Maybe an on/off option for which way this value is calculated

Money tied in stock
- Avg cost per item(i.e. Total money spent on buys divided by Total items bought) times Current stock)

Value of stock
- No. of items times Total money gained from sales divided by Total items sold or No. of items times Auctioneer Marketvalue

Expected sale value
- No. of items in current stock times Total money gained from sales divided by Total items sold or No. of items in current stock times Auctioneer Marketvalue

Expected profit
- Profit per item(See above) times Current stock(See above)

The reason for this addon is to keep easy track of specific items and see how you are doing profit-wise on flipping items.
Would such an addon be something that could be added to Auctioneer/BeanCounter?

Tracking stock and purchases http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11319/tracking-stock-and-purchases Fri, 13 Nov 2009 11:05:57 +0000 anoxia 11319@/index.php?p=/discussions
One of my main moneymakers is (dis)enchanting, and I find myself constantly adjusting the weights of the different reagents to maintain a reasonable stock level for each of them. I was thinking I ought to be able to handle this automatically - as my stocks increase, I would adjust the weights down, and bring them up again as stuff sells. The info I'd need would be

* how much of each reagent I already have in my inventory or up for auction - I can use the same datastore mods that glypher uses for this
* how much of each reagent typically sells in a day - auc-util-broker is designed for this, and I can factor in my own sales stats as well
* the current state of the market (what price I would need to set in the current market to sell at a normal rate, somewhat like a match module but more aggressive) - I can inspect the snapshot for this
* how much of each reagent I *potentially* own, based on what I've bought but not disenchanted yet - this is the tricky part

For the last one, what I'm after is a record of what I've bought out or bidded on. From that I can estimate what my new stocks will be based on the probabilities from Enchantrix. (I'd need to treat bids differently, based on some estimate of the chance of being outbid). Is there a good way to get at this information (from Beancounter for instance) or would I be better to hook the purchase/outbid events and scan the bids frame myself?

Thanks :)]]>

I have been searching for an add-on to help me sell glyphs easier on the AH , but I have not found anything yet.

This is my idea (would be my dream):

1) The add-on will use Auctioneer to create a list of profitable glyphs to make, that can be like a search but instead created in order to buy, created in order to make.
2) The add-on will search if you have the materials needed to create all glyphs, telling you if you have enough or not, or what do you need.
3) Once you have the materials, or deselecting the things you cant make, the add-on will craft all the glyphs automatically.
4) Finally the add-on will post all the glyphs on the AH.

Easy, don't?

Please, make this, that would save me about 2 hours daily.
please.
please.

Wishlist UPDATED:

1) The add-on will use Auctioneer to create a list of profitable glyphs to make, that can be like a search but instead created in order to buy, created in order to make.
1.a) It will search for each of your inscription list.
1.b) It will have options to calculate the selling price:
1.b.1) Market value (over all)
1.b.2) Current Market value
1.b.3) MBO (over all)
1.b.4) MBO (Last 3 days)
1.b.5) Current Undercutting (would be my choice)
Will include a Fixed max price. In case of no competition or competition above the max price. Ideally these would be per glyph, but I can be happy for an overall max price.
1.c) And options to calcute the making price:
1.c.1) Based on ink's Market value
1.c.2) Based on herbs market value (least market value of any plant which create that ink)
1.c.3) Based on herbs market value (ponderation of market value of plants which create that ink)
1.c.3) Fixed Price. That would indeed need to be per glyph.
1.d) The standard search options. Minimum profit, fees, etc.

2) Once we have the pre-list. The add-on will search on the AH to determine how many to create:
2.a) Options to determine how many, (active own-auctions matching the option will be removed from list):
2.a.1) Number of desirable glyphs per glyph type on market. (just one overall number)
2.a.2) Number of desirable glyphs per glyph type on market with MBO. (I would choose this with 4)
2.a.3) Number of desirable glyphs per glyph type on market with MBO, autocancel any glyph auction without MBO.

3) With the list ready, the add-on will export it to ATSW.4) Once all the glyphs are created, the add-on will post them on the auction, according to the following options (maybe appraiser can do this):
4.a) Use overall market value.
4.b) Use current market value.
4.c) Undercutting.

Glypher: determining the cost of ink http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11230/glypher-determining-the-cost-of-ink Wed, 14 Oct 2009 21:29:22 +0000 weltmeister 11230@/index.php?p=/discussions
I'd like to get some feedback on how others are getting their inks for glyphs. The methods I can think of are:

A. Buy only Northrend herbs, mill them, make Ink of the Sea, and use the ink trader in Dalaran to get whatever inks are needed.
B. Buy herbs as needed for specific inks. Mill and make ink.
BB. Same as above but using the InscriptionMats searcher.
C. Buy pigments. Make ink.
D. Buy ink.
E. Farm herbs. Mill and make ink.

Please let me know how you're getting your inks for glyphs, by choosing the methods from the list above or describing a different method.

Also, as a cost-offset, there are several ways, if you're using Method A, to reduce or eliminate your ink cost by selling Snowfall Inks or items crafted from them. I use primarily "Method 1" below.

1. Sell the Snowfall Ink to others
2. Craft and sell Runescrolls of Fortitude
3. Craft and sell Darkmoon Cards of the North
4. Craft and sell off-hands

If you're using any of these methods, please let me know which one(s), or any other method you might be using.

I would also any ideas you have on how we might be able to cost out the inks without tons of user configuration.

I do have one idea for costing out inks without much configuration, involving looking at the BeanCounter data for herbs, pigments, and inks, and making a calculation based upon that data, but I can see a conflict where you might be buying herbs for alchemy that are millable but much higher priced than the ones you buy for inscription.

Or, for sake of simplicity, should Glypher's current "price of single Northrend herb" just be changed to "price basis for one ink, set to 0 to use market value"? (On my server inks, when available, are over priced.)]]>
I want to customize a searcher for myself. http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11237/i-want-to-customize-a-searcher-for-myself. Thu, 15 Oct 2009 23:46:03 +0000 dhcn 11237@/index.php?p=/discussions I want to customize a searcher for myself. This Searcher just search for the lowest prices of all the specific type Item auctions and Corresponded my Acutions(if it exists).Does the newest version have this feature?if not.where can i find some technology resource about searcher code implementation.
I have read codes of the Resale Searcher and the General Searcher 。I think i have got the Structure of a Searcher coding. I found how to add a item to result set,but my ided is to get the lowest
buyout price.so I may need to remove the higher price item which has been added in ,how to do remove or replace?
otherwise,I want to know how to read the latest scan data.]]>
RFC: Auc-Util-AppraiserAdjust http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11151/rfc-auc-util-appraiseradjust Wed, 23 Sep 2009 19:03:05 +0000 weltmeister 11151@/index.php?p=/discussions
This Util module would allow for updating the settings as configured to all items based upon itemType (and itemSubtype if specified) with minimal time spent.

I had originally planned this to be part of Auc-Util-Glypher, but since it seems that it could be useful for other markets, I thought that it would be best as a separate module.

It would remember the last settings you had, but not on an itemType/Subtype basis. (Might be nice, but it would take some encouragement for me to volunteer for that part.)

One advantage to this would be in the glyph market, if you normally post for 12 hours, but plan on going away for the weekend, you could easily adjust your settings for 48 hours and know you're at least somewhat covered on the market.

I can see that there should be a checkbox for each configuration, "Update this configuration" (probably just a checkbox with a tooltip that says "Check to update this configuration"), which if unchecked would not do the update for a particular configuration. (For example, if you have your pricing models set how you like them, and they vary throughout your itemType, then if this was unchecked for pricing model, it wouldn't adjust the pricing model.)

Any comments would be great - I'll be working on this for my own use sometime in the next couple weeks.]]>
Auc-Util-Glypher : When Bank Toon is NOT an Inscriber http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/10710/auc-util-glypher-when-bank-toon-is-not-an-inscriber Thu, 18 Jun 2009 04:23:49 +0000 Apaseall 10710@/index.php?p=/discussions I think it says that it will populate atsw or skillet with a list of glyphs to create which is great.
However my bank toon is not a scribe.
I used ATSW and I think it remembers the craft list when you change between toons.
So...
Any chance of skipping the 'need to be a scribe' bit ?]]>
Glypher/Milling Addon Request/Proposal http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/11127/glyphermilling-addon-requestproposal Thu, 17 Sep 2009 10:02:29 +0000 therealdeadeye 11127@/index.php?p=/discussions
I'm very heavy enganged in the glyph market, makeing an average of 2,5k gold on my medium populated server.

I got a few ideas that would be very usefull to anyone working in this sector and just wanted to ask if you know of some addons that already do some of the thinks i need, and if not how difficult it would be to proramm( im currently stressed be the finals this semester, and wouldn't mind programming it myself after oktober 2.)

My main problem ist getting the mats for my glyphs because i produce great masses.

1. A searcher that filters for the cheapest herbs to buy for pigment x, considering differnt yields and the fact that you can trade ink of the sea 1:1 in Dalaran, so it will suggest northend herbs instead of lets say kingsblood if kingsblood is overal more expensive

2.A way to load the need pigemnts from skillets shopping list, to our new sercher/snatch list

i think everyone can agree that this would greatly improve the workflow and speed of every glyph seller ;-)]]>
Implementation for ENX-17 http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/10833/implementation-for-enx-17 Tue, 21 Jul 2009 09:50:24 +0000 dkalweit 10833@/index.php?p=/discussions
http://up.norganna.org/index.php/lhw2qzx/Enchantrix-ENX17.zip

This contains 3 changed files(only a dozen or so lines added/changed in all). I got the most recent from svn.norganna.org before making my changes.

This change adds an 'Auto DE Rare Items' and 'Auto DE Epic Items' checkbox to the Enchantrix automation config screen, both defaulting to true/yes/checked. If these are un-checked, Enchantrix auto-DE will no longer prompt to disenchant items of the checked level.

Parsing the auctioneer data http://forums.norganna.org/index.php?p=/discussion/5601/parsing-the-auctioneer-data Wed, 21 Nov 2007 16:05:22 +0000 deepone 5601@/index.php?p=/discussions
* Read auc-scandata.lua OR Auctioneer.lua
* Convert the LUA code into Perl datastructures via Inline::Lua
* Write individual auctions to a single, monolithic table
* Summarize that table into multiple tables for fast access to statistics (rolling avg/median prices per day and week for all items, per-faction and per-realm+faction).

I also have a primitive prototype of a CGI app that uses the database to chart long-term trends.

What I need to do:

* Resolve my problems posted to the Auctioneer board
* Clean up the code for release
* Consolidate multiple datapoints for the same auction (the way Auctioneer does when scanning).
* Verify that all of my assumptions about the data are correct.

To this end, especially the last item, I would like to find out if anyone has done this sort of thing before. So... has anyone?]]>
