I dont even know if this is possible. I loved using Auctioneer for World of Warcraft auctions, and it became a staple in my selling. Would it be possible to develop the same thing for Diablo III auctions?

It's at times like this, when a wowpatch such as 4.3 borks addons up, that I pause to think. What would my gameplay be like without Auctioneer? I quickly come to realize that I'd rather throw the other 25+ addons I use away than to lose Auctioneer. And if Auctioneer is that important, why not fork out a few bucks? And Gatherer is a close second...

And now for the problem. I just tried to toss a few bucks Norganna's way and run into an error from PayPal that "payments can't be made to this PayPal user right now" or some such thing. Now I know how important getting Auctioneer up and running with 4.3 is, but it can't POSSIBLY be more important than getting the funds rolling in!

There's an unverified rumour that has come to me -- that Blizzard is displeased about aspects of Auctioneer and may denote it as a bot. Can Norganna offer some commentary on this please? If it's false, I'd love to be one of the bearers of the truth that help to dispell this blasphemy!

wowfix - possible DNS error

Hi, for 48 hours or more a few of us have not been able to access WoWfix.com which I believe Norganna owns. Not sure if this is true. But if it is, using several UK based DNS servers can't get through.

Hi all,

I wasn't looking to join the forum, but I noticed a plea for donations to help offset the cost of keeping this site going so we can download the addons. I clicked on the link to donate, and it asked me for my forum ID. I also notice that the benefits of donating are related to the forum. I appreciate the addons, and all the work that goes on, but I haven't needed to the forum for anything (been using Auctioneer for years). So I just wanted to post something to suggest that maybe it would be beneficial to provide the normal PayPal link without asking for a forum ID... so a-social people like me can skip becoming a member of the forum and still donate to something I appreciate.

Dear WoW Gamblers:

excuses for my bad english. I am a German player.
I had today a conversation with a GM and accused myself of transfering 800 Gold to another player, without getting any Item for it. So, I could hav sold my Gold via email. The GM said, there is no cheat of doing so. This means, Goldtransfers are allowed, I got no penalty.
Of course, Blizzard cynicylly denies it on its website, for they want no competitors. Furthermore, there is no way to prove, that Blizzard is not also making money by selling Gold and with the advantage that it takes just a few klicks to create it.
Thanks to my experience with auctioneer, I am seriously thinking of starting a Goldselling website.

I think, this information would be of general interest.

I have 175 threads listed under my discussions but seem to be unable to see more than the most recent 50.
When I click on the number or arrows in the upper left part of the screen I get taken to the discussions area not my discussions earlier posts area as expected.
I am doing something wrong?

AH Tooltips for Item in recipie list

I'm looking for a mod that does one of two things, either it will display the number of items I'm currently selling in the AH in the tradeskill window, or allow me to change the tooltip of the recipe list to show the item that will be created, instead of the recipe ingredients (So I can see from the Auctioneer tooltip how many I have listed.

Basically trying to save myself a click while keeping 5 of each ruby cut, for example.

Well there is a line:

This give the addon a nice little icon. I would like to pick a diferent icon.
How can I see what icons are available to use?

Since programming in LUA and familar with wow api is not usually a category on Elance, I figured I give it a shot here.

I'm looking for someone to hire to make some modifications to postal so that I can "remember" what people have mailed me. I can then marry the data from there to auctioneer to credit my clanmates for their donation.

Since I can parse out the data from auctioneer with perl, I figured the the postal data can be saved in the same manner. But I really don't have the skillset to mod it, I figure I'll look here.

Oh btw, auctioneer has changed my life and with perl I can really take advantage of the crossfaction trade.

Found this on WoWWiki and thought it might be of general interest to all. Turns out there are four datacenters for U.S. realms:

Boston, Massachusetts
Dallas, Texas
Los Angeles, California
Seattle, Washington

You're likely to get much lower latency by picking a realm closest to you. Personally I'll be testing this as soon as the servers come back up after patch.

You mentioned in another thread that you prefer using Curse for obtaining addons, and I'm curious about that. Instead of derailing that thread, I thought I'd create a new topic as a general question to all. Why do you prefer Curse? Is it because you can use the Curse Client for downloading? I personally can't stand the site since they changed it all around -- far too much info there, their search stinks and too many screens to go through to simply download a mod, IMHO (I don't use the Curse Client). Some people really like Curse and others hate it, just wondering what your reasons are...

I prefer WoWInterface and Wowace for my mods, but I do use WorldOfWar.net and Curse as well as last resorts if I can't find a mod elsewhere. I like WoWInterface the best because it seems to have the cleanest look and navigating it is pretty easy.

I'd like opinions from others too, why do you prefer one addon site over another? Which do you think is best?

Hi, I'm a longtime user of Auctioneer, Enchantrix, and Gatherer.... and I love them all. Thank you, Norganna! I've noticed that the Gatherer and Auctioneer packages seem to contain different versions of Swatter and SlideBar. Does it matter which versions of these I use? Which is the best one? Thanks for any tips!

Baggins for Guild Bank?

I'm a huge fan of Baggins. It is a bag mod which replaces the default bags with flexible 'meta-bags' for various categories like enchant mats, equipment, trash, quest items, etc. This is wonderful for the ocd in me :D Unfortunately, next to baggins, the guild bank looks terrible and can be obnoxious to find things in.

I have not found a Baggins for the guild bank, but does anyone know if there is another bag mod for the guild bank? (I haven't found any.) Thanks!

Hi, I just donated via the paypal link at auctioneeraddon.com. I am using Firefox with the Noscript addon and there might be a problem with the username form at paypal.com if you have javascript disabled on the page.

Your site did not register that I entered my username at paypal. Luckily I could fix that at the page I was returned to, but I thought you should know in case there need to be further instructions (not sure if its possible to write that fact on the paypal.com page or if that page is "fixed").
