it will say bought X at XXgXXsXXc and sold for XXgXXsXXc in the tooltip.

I too think having this info displayed would be ideal, but we have a real problem with screen real estate, particularly at lower screen resolutions. Go ahead and add a JIRA for this, but we'll need to hash some things out before we can even say it's a direction we'd want to consider pursuing.

I put the sales stat on, as MattBnr mentioned. This is helpful if I'm out questing. "Do I send this loot to my AH toon?" The tooltip display seems kind of limited (visually I mean). This is where my concept comes in to make it part of the AH interface.

I have my UI scale turned all the way down, then Auc at just "1" scale. I run at 2560x1600 though, so everything is still crisp.

So - what would it take to make this work better for people with lower resolutions (i.e. a feature for everyone). Has the team considered doing a custom interface that replaces the AH window instead of adding on to the existing one? I would be willing to lend my design ability to creating custom graphics to accommodate a more data efficient / readable version of the mod, but I imagine that is pretty code crazy for the programmers. All the WoW graphics are pretty, but kind of bulky. You could do like a "slimline" version that's easier to read, shows more data at once, and can do things like the appraiser + bean counter idea.

I made the UnetiMod (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/unetimod.aspx) as hobby project, and it took forever. The graphics were custom, though, so I know it can be done.

I was going to post a topic about this, to add some recent bean counter data in the side bar in the appraiser window that currently shows the break down of price per, price overall, etc.
