    hi all, i see everyone is beavering away gettings things up and running with 4.x.
    very much appreciated.

    i need a little help though.
    i seem to have lost my saved searches with the update.
    when i click on the saved searches at the top of the searchui frame i see a list; arbitrage, milling, resale etc.
    what i don't see is my personal saved search.

    being curious i took a peek inside auc-advanced.lua.
    there within the fields i was happy to find my personal saved searches.
    so they do exist with all their lovely settings intact.

    can some kind soul tell me how do i access them from within wow please?

    Apaseall, were you playng with the searchUI per search settings branch?

    We did have it added to the main trunk temporarily a few days before the patch but decided yo back it out for further testing.
    If so it would have converted your saved searchers to the new format.
    The dev repository for it is at http://dev.norganna.org/auctioneer/branches/SearchUI%20Per%20Search%20Settings/

    erm i only updated my svn via tortoise, click on folder and update.
    update version says 4933.
    i did not edit the files recently. the only files i edit are core and apprframe for posting partial stacks.

    i did see something a little while ago where i could select saved searches for each searchui module.
    that has now gone away.
    presently i see a list which is the same as the names of the searchui modules.
    what i do not see is the name of the saved search i was using.
    thus i do not see my snatch list or have any settings i previously set for searchui like ignore filter and gold limits.

    oh and the link you kindly provided is not accessable by me as i am not a developer and thus do not have a login.
    i merely wish to use and test the svns at this time.

    Apaseall,

    Just use the read-only http://svn.norganna.org/auctioneer/branches/SearchUI%20Per%20Search%20Settings/ as usual.

    Happy Sales,

    Nikk :shades:

    i'm currently using http://svn.norganna.org/auctioneer/trunk and i think i'll stick with that assuming that this will be addressed in due course.

    @kandoko
    i think i over looked something you said in your earlier post.
    so i just want to check this with you.

    you said "If so it would have converted your saved searchers to the new format. "
    does that mean;
    1. i have an saved search that i was happily using with 'old' svns.
    2. along can the svn with "searchUI per search settings branch".
    3. that changed the format of how saved searches are stored with in auc-advanced.lua
    4. now any 'new' svns with be using the 'altered' saved search format - thus causing me the issue of not being able to access my saved search.

    if so then will this work;
    1. pick up a backup of auc-advanced.lua from prior to the "searchUI per search settings branch".
    2. run wow and see my saved search ?

    hmm i picked up auc-advanced.lua from 17/09/10.
    yes i do see my saved search.
    however the appraiser values are messup.
    everything is now 48hrs rather than 24. stack sizes are maximum. number to post is all.

    going to revert to the copy i made of auc-advanced.lua i was using before replacing with the 17/09/10 version.

    huh ? well that did not help, the appraiser settings are still off.
    i think i'll leave it for today.
    i'll replace all saved variables for auc-adv from an earlier date and see how that goes.

    right not sure what was going on yesterday.
    picked up a auc-advanced.lua from 27/09/10.
    seems to work. no reason for going that far back other than that was already unzipped. :)
