It's been 4 and a bit years since we last upgraded this forum, and we've finally decided as part of the overall move to new servers, to jump from Vanilla 1 to version 2.
Hopefully overall this will be a change for the better and there won't be too many issues. Please bear with us while we iron out the kinks.
Well, first problem is the message editor. It simply does not work in all browsers, and these editors leave tons of wasted tags in messages. I don't see it as desirable move.
We'll be working on the kinks. Believe me when I say that the team will be the first in line to raise ideas for improvements. :)
Our old forum software was badly out of date, and quite frankly, was leaving us vulnerable to an attack. I know this change is rather drastic, but as they say, "no pain, no gain."
I DO believe you're working on them :) If you have a separate thread to report issues spotted with forum and possible enchancement, i'll lead my paws there instead.
Ahh cool. Threading is much more awesome, though it will make it harder to navigate to new posts in larger threads without new tags and anchors on individual posts.
Yau! for "Participated" threads, although the sorting between them is somewhat strange. Topics with most recent posts as of mid-november could be stuck between topics updated in december, which, in order, was ordered backwardly :)
It was ordered by the date of your last comment, and not the date of the last comment of the discussion. I have "fixed" this and now it should be more like what you are expecting.
