Tested this with Jasper Ring of the Rockslab and Jasper Ring of the Fireflash and could not get it to miss post so far.
Is there anymore info you can add?
Reforge status, enchants, any other items you see it misbehave with?

This is not easy to explain. But I just tried it again after they expired... I have about 50 of these damn things. I just tried it again, with all 50 in my bags -- I chose one ring at random "Jasper Ring of the Wavecrest" (I have three of these on me). I hit the post button, and it posted the wrong three rings.

It posted one of my "Jasper Ring of the Wavecrest" rings (although not the one I dragged into the appraiser box). And it took the next two rings right next to it my bags -- which happened to be a Stormblast and a Feverflare.

Can you replicate this behavior with just Auctioneer enabled?

And are you using an enUS client?

@Norganna: I turned all addons off other than auctioneer prior to these screenshots. It doesn't appear to be a conflict with another addon.

@Hirsute: Yes, I am using the enUS client.

In picture #1, the ring I dragged into the Appraiser tab has a red box around it. Note that it correctly detects that 3 of these rings are of this same type. Also note the prices being used for this ring type. The ring selected is of the "of the Undertow" type.

In picture #2, you see that it posted 3 different rings entirely -- not even one of the rings posted was "of the Undertow", and it set them all to the same price. I also find it curious that it is posting the first three rings it finds (from right to left) in my bags, regardless of their type.

The version of Auctioneer being used is the one at: http://zip.norganna.org/auctioneer/ALL/ with the 2010-Dec-17 14:31:32 date.

Epinnioa, what happens when you try the same rings in Blizzards Posting interface?
It looks like Blizzards Multipost API might have an issue somewhere.

I must confess, I do not know much about how to use Blizz's interface. I have not used it in years, thanks to you guys here.

But when I put one of those rings in Blizz's interface, and click the 'maximum' button, it simply counts all the rings, regardless of specific 'of the ____' type, in my bag at the time. In other words, Blizz's own interface doesn't appear to differentiate much between the rings.

has anyone found a fix for this issue, i make a ton of the jc rings on a weekly basis, and if im not paying attn they get posted all with different prices.

Unfortunately, there is none, until the default AH sees them as being different items.

Have not tried this, but since it only goes one at a time, and skips the 'offending' multipost code, folks reported that posting the items singly worked without issue.

Since the hardware event is needed and all, that is not that big of an issue, just macro the confirmation /click AuctioneerPostPromptYes ; verify price, click mouse, click macro key.

Obviously, a basic workaround is to only bring a certain type to the AH and adjust the price to whatever you think is reasonable, post it/them, and then bring more and do the same. With the large number of mailboxes and AH proximity, it is really not that bad of an option.
