Question - When trying to import the database into the newest version of Gatherer - It stops at 95.1%. Nothing more.

On a different computer - it seems to load to 100% yet there is not a single node that I don't already have. (which isn't much at all)

Suggestions?

There are not a whole lot at present, a few zones, like Feralas should be a bit more noticeable, since it has quite a few. Noted over on the forums for GathererDB that an update will be coming - but likely after the holidays.

It would be *extremely* helpful if you can track down the cause of the hang- we have not been able to reproduce it. Perhaps try with only Gatherer, GathererHUD, SlideBar, Swatter, and GathererDB_Wowhead and then enable half of your other AddOns at a time to determine if it is a conflict/some other AddOn interfering.

I've gone through the file in the link and also the file on this website with a text editor (Dec 19 2k10 and Dec 20 2k10) and neither one of them have nodes for any cataclysm zones. This, after I had cleared and re-imported the DB multiple times trying to figure out what was going on.

Recently was going through some of the BC zones, Shadowmoon Valley and Zangarmarsh both don't show the mining nodes.

I get the same error when trying to import the database from wow and I have only the suggested addon['s loaded. here is the error dump:

You are using the old, broken version. Update from WoWInterface and then import.

Got the new version of Gatherer today and I thought I'd give a go, but i couldn't get it to work. Nothing was showing on my mini map and I got stuck on 94.9% when I was trying to import info from Wowhead. Help!?

No, you did not. GathererDBWowhead, v1.0.2009-02-18 is surely not the latest.

Both of the most recent versions will not have that error, but the very latest, 1.0.2010-12-19, will not have that issue, since "this" is not in use.

Not sure what to tell you other than to actually delete the GathererDB_Wowhead folder from ..\Interface\AddOns, launch WoW and ensure that GathererDB_Wowhead does not exist in the main WoW AddOns Control Panel, exit WoW completely, and then download and install the latest. That way, when you go back into the AddOns Control Panel, you should see 1.0.1010-12-19 as the version number.

I have uninstalled all addons deleted the WTF and saved variables. Then I installed gatherer version 3.2.3 and Gatherer DB Version 12-19-2010. I log into wow and I go and import Data, and it stops at 90.4%. It doesn't give me an error just closes the window. When I open the Gatherables report window it tells me nodes are there but they don't show up on the map at all.

Hi. downloaded the latest version and no gold coins show up on the map on one account, while they do on my second account. I really don't like the add on without the gold coins. Without them, the add on is virtually useless. Also, I downloaded the wowhead data, and only got 93%. so that problem is still going on.

I have version 3.2.3 of Gatherer and Wowhead DB 1.0.2010-12-19

Btw: That last 9.6% is probably not only cataclysm content as saronite deposits are also missing.

I found the solution to the bug of no nodes showing. I didn't make it, but it's here on this link: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11707-GathererDBWoWHead.html#comments

Here's what I did:

1 - Downloaded (manually) the latest GatherDB_WowHead package from here, extracted it to my Addons folder.

2 - Renamed the DB_WowheadData.lua to .old (just so I could compare).

3 - Downloaded the DB_WowheadData.lua file from https://github.com/lloydpick/gathererdb_wowhead (the link in several messages below). NOTE: I did NOT bother downloading any of the other files at that location, because they BREAK, repeat, BREAK the entire process. You end up with a GatherDB addon that doesn't have a "Download" button!

4 - Fire up WoW, ensure Gatherer and GatherDB are enabled for one of my characters, enter the game with that character.

5 - Enter at the chat line gatherer /config. At the gather screen, click on "Database". At the new window, click on "Import". That actually integrates all the data in the DB_WowheadData.lua file (in this case, the new one I downloaded) into the Gatherer display. You'll see the "Importing Wowhead database" percentage and bar display, and it will NOT stop at 90-some percent. Works perfectly. There's data for at least the new Cata Mount Hyjal area and many others (donno if ALL the new areas or not, but it looks like it).

So, to review: use the latest GatherDB package, but replace ONLY the DB_WowheadData.lua file with the lloydpick lua data file.

Once you've performed that import once (for one character), the data will show for ALL your characters. You can then turn off the GatherDB addon (since it'll no longer be needed) and free up some memory.

"Thought I'd add an extra step here, because I'm dumb and still had problems w/ these directions. I finally figured out what my problem was, and I thought anyone else as computer stupid as me might have the same issue. When you click on the DB_WowheadData.lua file on that lloyd site, and then click the Downloads button, it still downloads his whole package, not just that 1 file. So when you go to extract it....Dont. Instead, click on the 1 file, the DB_WowheadData.lua file, that you need, and simply move it to the GatherDB_WowHead inside your addons folder. "

Get the latest Wowhead DB, you have GathererDBWowhead, v1.0.2009-12-09. It's out of date and refers to pre-Cata data, much of which is now wrong.

Go to http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11707-GathererDBWoWHead.html for latest.

That's the thing. If you follow the link that you put up, it goes to that version of the file. :/

Has this ever been updated? I started using Gathermate b/c the wowhead DB never got updated from what I could tell... Does anyone know? (I much prefer Gatherer and would like to switch back...)

actually there is GathererDB unofficial data u just overwrite GathererDB with GathererDB unofficial data and you will be fine :)

Can you explain what to do? I found a link on the GathererDB site and I downloaded it and replaced the original file with it (as per the directions), but when I open Gatherer in game I have some issues:
#1: Under Plugins there is only HUD..no option for Database so I can upload it.
#2: I thought maybe it was auto-uploaded so I looked on my map....nope no nodes showing for Cata zones.

What am I doing wrong? Please help :(

You still need the actual AddOn, from http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11707-GathererDBWoWHead.html . Only with that installed will you see an import button.

Actually, the development builds have been generated about once a month, and are quite good at this stage, I've been using them myself.

Unfortunately, pursuant to our agreement with Wowhead, which allows us to utilize their database, I can't give you access to the development builds. All downloads must be from wowinterface.

I'll see if I can get someone who has access to the wowinterface project to update the download with the latest development version.

I was wondering if anyone could help. Since the new patch (4.1) I have been unable to use auctioneer. While I can scan in appraiser, I can't do a full scan of the AH. When I try to post using the mass post feature I get the message that auctioneer is unable to find the item. I am using a mac.

Any idea's or comments?

I cant use auctioneer either since the patch 4.1. In my addons screen says it is out of date and have yet to find an update for it either. Was just wondering if u guys are going to update it or not? I've clicked load outdated add ons but it will not work. When i scan it wont ever finish and i cant look up anything on AH with the addon active either.

PLEASE HELP!!! I cannot use auctioneer since patch 4.1 will this ever be updated? I got a bank load of stuff!!......so much gold so little time!

I would like to know too if this is likely to be updated, as this is the main addon i use for wow, ive tried using auctionator but compared to auctioneer its rubbish, i cant do without auctioneer and havnt really been able to play wow since the patch without it, pls help, forever in your debt.

Any update at all as to whether this addon will be updated or is it a dead end? Same question applies to the gatherer wowhead DB??

Gatherer works fine at this time, it gets updated when needed.

Not sure about the wowhead db. One of the gatherer devs will have to chime in.
