Gatherer Message sent to Guild

    Sorry if this has been asked before i did try to search. I have Gatherer version 3.2.3 and ticked the box for sharing messages out to my guild, but unlike other versions which seemed to say who was as in which character was gathering something along with where and what, all my says is where and what ? Has the full message been disabled in this version or am I understanding something wrong? Hope this make some sense.

    Actual sharing is done through addon communication channel, which is (normally) not visible to the user.
    What you may see printing in first chat tab is a mere notification.

    i am pretty sure i see a chat tab notification which includes the zone and the user toon who did the gather. but i couldn't swear it for sure.

    Confirmd that I am seeing messages as normal, not sure what issue the OP is having. Can you confirm the issue with a screenshot?

    I have searched the WoW Interface and Gatherer Addon in UI, cannot find a toggle to turn off the Guild gather announcement in Chat. Message just says player gathers from a place like Elwyn and the Guild member name and what they gather. I don't know about any other channels than the 3 WoW offers; I have Trade turned off. How can I turn off these messages? They swamp my chat. Thanks.

    I don't know, how did you searched, and where... But it's directly in there, and the most obviously named, too.
    Gatherer configuration - Core options - Sharing - <Whatever section> - Print a message when receiving a gather.
