Hello everyone I'm new to this forum and was wondering if there had been any effort to research mine node spawn rates in WoW and how relevant this information is today. The reason is that I sometimes feel I stumble upon nodes more frequently depending on what time of day it is, though it is perfectly reasonable that I might just be superstitious.
I suggested a sort of "mine-frequency tracker" at wow-interface's forums where one member talked about nodes being put on the map in "sets" and these sets would be respawned on a timer. I thought the information I got was rather vague and unintelligible but he/she did inform me that he "had never seen this information written up anywhere except at gatherer".
I don't think we have detailed information about spawn rates themselves, but some extended watching years ago did suggest, as I recall, that nodes are grouped into sets in a given zone, and that (for simplicity's sake) only one from each set will be spawned at any given time. After it's mined, there will be a time where there is no node from that set spawned, and then when one spawns, it is randomly selected from among the set, so it could be the same one respawned again.
As far as I recall, the "sets" are completely independent of each other, and the intra-set time is not constant.
