How close can 2 gather nodes be in the game world?

    Interesting. I've never seen them that close together before. The next question is: is it worth it to record those as separate nodes in a node-tracking-and-displaying addon like Gatherer? It muddies up the display, and as far as I can tell, doesn't provide significant extra value in the balance, as you'll see either of them while stopping for one.

    I don't think it worth wasting database in such a way. It already tracking nodes with significant bias towards splitting one in two.

    That's up to Esamynn. A while back he'd said that he'd never seen nodes closer than X yards. And when I saw this I just had to laugh.

    I'd have no problem with them being recorded as a single node in the database. It's not like you're going to miss one while gathering the other....

    Wow, that is just.... wow.

    Anyways, no, I can't see any point to recording those as two separate nodes.
