Need help with RTS/Snatch list.

    The problem comes with my settings I'm guessing but I don't see how this would be wrong.

    Example, in the snatch list I have Inferno Ruby 300g Buy Each.

    Snatch settings: Allow Buyouts (only thing checked).

    Infernos go for 260-280 on my server so why the hell is it not trying to buy every single one? :P

    Also, I'm kinda confused how Snatch/Real-time Scan works. I click the magnifying glass in the top and obviously it starts "scanning" but do I have to click Search or the Red Swirl on the bottom left of the snatch window? That makes it seem like its not REAL time trying to find things in my snatch list since it talks about in the current snapshot?

    I'm just trying to see how/setup RTS/Snatch list to try and find items at the price I specified (as they are listed, i.e. snatch) but it doesn't really seem to "work"? Also, does the Price Variation Method have anything to do with it not working? It's set to Market Value but I don't really understand how that would effect anything? At any rate like I said I'm trying to setup Snatch List to buy Infernos lower than 300g and the Valuation (to the right of Buy Each 300 00 00) is 256 20 44...

    Also, when I'm RTSing this is the output:

    [10:57:08] Auctioneer finished scanning final pages containing 5 auctions over 0 Secs
    [10:57:08] 53904 items in DB at start (53904 matched query); 53904 at end
    [10:57:08] 5 unchanged items
    [10:57:08] (Incomplete scan missed 53899 items)

    I would assume that is all normal?

    RTS just checks the first and last page. If one of your snatch items shows up on either one of those pages with a price that meets your criteria, it should pop. the snippet you posted above shows that there's only 5 items on the last page.

    are you doing a full scan first? in order for the regular (non-RTS) snatch to work, you first have to do a scan to get a listing of all the auctions into the snapshot. then you select the snatch searcher and run the search. we recommend the GetAll search (the FFW button on top) if your server isn't too big to use it.

    instead of doing a full scan, you can instead go to the snatch screen, and click on the red swirly. This will first do an scan update for all the items on your snatch list, then will search for them. If you're only interested in your snatch items, not doing any other type of searching, this might be fastest for you.

    Well, doing it EITHER way (Magnify Glass or Red Swirl) if auctions are up for 280g and my price is at 300g, TECHNICALLY it should pop, right?

    The only other question I had was how come sometimes things pop up in the snatch list, othertimes they just popup a dialog asking if I want to buy it out?

    if you click the magnifying glass, it will only pop the item up if it's on the first or last page. so technically yes, but most likely at the time you're looking the item isn't actually on one of those two pages.

    the purchase dialog only gets used if you have the "power user" setting (arrg, what a bad name that is for that option, we have to fix that) turned on and are doing a RTS. if you search the snapshot, the results get added to the results screen first. There are technical reasons for this, which are explained in the same FAQ I linked earlier.
