Removing Item Name from Tooltip

Greetings,
I would like to inquire if it was possible to remove the item name from auctioneers tooltip.
After searching around I had found an old thread here, but that was from 2007 and I'm inclined to believe that information is out of date.
Does anyone know of a more current way to remove the item name from the tooltip?
