Lately I have encountered a bunch of times where items will show up with an abnormally large resale value, I'll buy that item, and then it will appraise of 0g 00s 00c (and the item has no history in BeanCounter except for my purchase.)
hard to say for sure. next time you see an "abnormally large" resale value, get some screenshots of the tooltip of the item, and its beancounter history.
I have screenshots where the Search Resale listing said an item (Skettis Chestpiece of the Elder) has a buyout of 25g with a 483g profit (crazy transmorger's? ;)). I buy it and reappraise and it appraises at 14g!
I've seen this happen a lot and more times than I have seen the 0g appraisal.
upload to dlftw.com and paste resulting link back here. be sure to get tooltip screenshots both before and after you purchase and re-appraise. hold the shift key down while you get the tooltip to give us some extra info.
Looks like you accidentally uploaded a dupe of one of them.
The resale search prices do look funky. I'm guessing it's because they are random suffix items. One of the suffixes is probably price poisoned, and it's throwing off the overall market price. It probably shouldn't be doing that, though, I think it should be limited to exact matches (except for the iLevel stat). One of the devs will have to chime in.
This price poisoning has made the resale searcher virtually useless now for any "of the xxx" items. Please fix this issue so people can't game Auctioneer.
I don't think we've done anything specific for them, but as mentioned I'm not sure why it was an issue to begin with, except for iLevel. Many people reset their price databases around major releases like this one, so we'll have to keep on eye on it going forward.
